  • Patent number: 4186886
Abstract: An induction-charging adapter head may be quickly and easily mounted on, or demounted from, a conventional spray device equipped with a plate-like adapter of the type disclosed. The plate-like adapter also provides for safe connection or disconnection of a high voltage source to the induction-charging adapter head electrode by providing means for maintaining an electrical path to ground between the adapter head and plate-like adapter during the making or breaking of the high voltage connection.

  • Patent number: 4157706
Abstract: A water heater capable of utilizing as one of its heat sources hot exhaust gases emitted from at least one other heat source such as a furnace fueled by a natural resource fuel such as gas or oil, and capable of utilizing as another of its heat sources heat emitted from a fluid heated by solar energy. The water heater comprises a central flue having a heat conductive wall, one end of the said flue having a thimble member secureable to an exhaust pipe carrying hot exhaust gases from a heat source fueled by a natural resource fuel, and the other end of said flue secureable to a chimney leading to the atmosphere. Disposed within the flue is a turbulator means which disperses entering hot exhaust gases along the surface of the flue wall.

  • Patent number: 4004766
Abstract: A vibration absorbing transmission tube isolation clamp which effectuates reduction of transmittance upon structures in communication with a tube being held by the clamp of side to side forces generated by thermal expansion of the tube as the tube transmits liquid under pressure. The clamp comprises a bottom piece securable to a support structure and a top piece securable to the bottom piece with the tube positioned between the two pieces which are shaped so that when secured together a tube housing results which totally surrounds the tube for the length of the clamp. The base of the bottom piece is provided with two or more elongated openings whose long axes are at right angles to and lateral to the longitudinal axis of the tube housing.

  • Patent number: 3989404
Abstract: A dirt compacting and asphalt compacting roller unit of sufficient weight for utilization in compacting fill dirt introduced into a ditch to fill the ditch, and for utilization in compacting hot asphalt subsequently applied over the previously compacted fill dirt. The roller unit comprises a smooth-surface circumference drum shape roller with concentrically positioned shaft protruding laterally on each side. The roller has two or more detachable dirt compacting plates having multiple exteriorly projecting protrusions which, when the plates are attached to the roller, become the exterior circumference of the roller and act to compact fill dirt when the roller with plates attached is repeatedly rolled over fill dirt within a ditch. When the plates are detached, the smooth-surface circumference of the roller acts to compact hot asphalt when the roller's smooth-surface circumference is repeatedly rolled over hot asphalt subsequently applied over the previously compacted fill dirt.
