  • Patent number: 5764885
Abstract: A data flow of a processor is traced while accessing data stored in a memory and in a plurality of registers during operation of the processor. The tracing involves detecting an unpredictable accessing of data on the assumption that a predictable accessing can be reconstructed without any further input. The unpredictable accessing is identified by setting and clearing a trace bit associated with each of the registers according to identifying the accessing as direct memory-to-register, register-to-register, constant-to-register, and indirect memory. If a trace bit is set on a register storing data being used as a base address during the indirect memory acceding, data flow control information, such as the base address stored in the register being used during the indirect acceding is recorded in a queue, and from the queue the information can be stored in a trace buffer.

  • Patent number: 5682816
Abstract: A two stage feeding apparatus and method for feeding articles to a printing machine are disclosed. The apparatus comprises a transfer tray between a conventional stack loading mechanism and a conventional printing machine feeding mechanism. The transfer tray is both movable between a horizontal loading position and an inclined transitional position, and rotatable between the inclined transitional position and an inclined unloading position. The method comprises two stages of which a first stage involves moving the transfer tray between the horizontal loading position and the inclined transitional position, and a second stage involves rotating the transfer tray between the inclined transitional position and the inclined unloading position.

  • Patent number: 4968250
Abstract: A staple which is compressively affixed to the mandibular jaw with lag screws, a drill guide apparatus having a plane guide and drilling barrel for proper alignment of the staple and a method for proper implantation of the staple. The staple is provided with a plurality of parallel transosteal pins which are mounted on a mounting axis which extends in a direction parallel to the axis of compression. The plane guide has a curvilinear aperture to extend around the jaw bone for forming a planar mating surface on the bone with a grinding tool. The drilling barrel accepts a plurality of removable sleeves for guiding drill bits of different sizes. A cap nut is self-threaded on to a smooth portion of the transosteal pin. The smooth portion of the transosteal pin is provided to reduce irritation to the gingiva and facilitate adhesion of a bioceramic or biocompatable polymer material.
