Abstract: A high contact density connector system for an edge-mount semiconductor package or a like panel member having densely spaced contact means provided along an edge comprises two mating connector parts, each having a one piece insulator housing retaining a plurality of contacts having mating means arranged in a single row. The contacts are assembled into the insulator housings by parallel positioning a plurality of such housings and assembling a transversely positioned row of such contacts into corresponding positions of all housings.
Abstract: A Doppler Speedometer for determining the speed of a vehicle, suspended in a medium, relative to the ground over which the vehicle is traveling. Radiant energy is beamed from the vehicle toward the ground at a predetermined angle with respect to the direction of travel of the vehicle. The reflected energy is received and a signal representing the envelope of the amplitude modulation function of the returned energy is generated. An output voltage having a value proportional to some characteristics of the frequency spectrum of the return signal is generated for driving a meter calibrated in vehicle speed.
Abstract: An improved ignition distributor breaker contact point set is provided which includes an electrically conductive plate member including a first breaker contact in electrical contact with the plate member; an electrically conductive, pivotably mounted breaker arm having at one end thereof a second breaker contact, the breaker arm being spring loaded by affixation to an electrically conductive leaf spring; and a condensor having a first electrically conductive terminal in electrical contact with said plate member and a second electrically conductive terminal which is insulated from said plate member. An electrically conductive, elongated support strap is provided, said support member spanning directly between and physically and electrically connecting the second electrically conducting terminal of the condensor and the leaf spring art.
Abstract: An electro-optic detector utilizes a trigger circuit to sense the presense of a fluid medium and produce a control signal at a predetermined time after the fluid medium is detected.
Abstract: An automatic release assembly for a two-piece harness connector is provided with an electro-optic trigger responsive to a liquid environment. A rotatable locking shaft is forcibly rotated to unlock position by actuation of a force generating device integrated into the two-piece harness connector.
