  • Patent number: 4182511
Abstract: An exercizer device is provided which is light weight, portable and collapsible. The device is adjustable to accommodate users of various heights. There is a substantially rectangular frame with two pairs of support legs, one pair being pivotally mounted to the other pair, and the other pair being pivotally mounted to the frame. The frame consists of a pair of generally "U"-shaped members arranged in an opposing and telescoping relationship with securing means to adjust the relative positions between the U-shaped frame members. Across one end of one of the U-shaped members there is a cushion for supporting the lower end of the torso of a human body, while at the other end of the other U-shaped member there is a cross-piece for supporting the feet of the user.

  • Patent number: 4176082
Abstract: A closed smoke generating apparatus isolated from the atmosphere is provided in which carrier gases from an associated closed air food processing system are introduced into a smoke collection chamber, mixed with smoke supplied from a separate distillation chamber mounted therebelow. Smoke and carrier gases are discharged through an outlet in the collection chamber directly into the closed air food processing system. Wood sawdust or other organic particulate materials are continuously fed into the elongated distillation chamber and are carried by a rotating auger. A heat source surrounds the distillation chamber for destructive distillation of the particulate materials without introduction of air into or leakage of air from the distillation chamber. A residue discharge is provided with means to seal the outlet end of the distillation chamber. Smoke ports or conduit means provide direct communication between the distillation chamber and the smoke collection chamber.

  • Patent number: 4162141
Abstract: A variable air flow oven is disclosed in which a variable air directing control means delivers varying amounts of heated air under various positive pressures in an alternating pattern to jet orifices in opposite side walls of the oven in an inverse ratio. Hot air jets from opposite sides of the oven meet at a region of common velocity in the processing chamber to produce a turbulent mixing of the hot air in a vertical plane. The turbulent heated air travels from one side of the oven to the other substantially throughout a heating period under the controlled operation of a motor driven mechanical linkage arrangement to assure even baking, cooking or drying of the products being processed through the entire processing chamber in the oven. The system operates at a positive pressure at all times, so that the main supply of heated air flows through one side duct and a smaller volume of heated air flows through the opposite side.
