    Abstract: An improved decorative trimming system for installing crown mold, baseboard and the like to a room includes elongated mounting brackets adapted to be secured along room walls extending about the room periphery. Each bracket include a projecting tongue that extends along the length of the bracket. Prefabricated corner pieces of molding are provided with longitudinal grooves extending along the back sides of their legs for receiving the tongues of the mounting brackets in snug fitting relationship. Similarly, straight lengths or strips of molding have grooves formed along their back sides also for receiving the tongues of the mounting brackets. In use, mounting brackets are secured along room walls extending about the room periphery and prefabricated corner pieces are pressed or snapped into position on the mounting brackets.

    Abstract: An apparatus and process for applying a synthetic lenticule to the cornea of a human eye is disclosed, the process also contemplating selective reprofiling of the lenticule while it is in place over the cornea. The process invlolves ablating a shallow peripheral groove in the cornea to receive the peripheral edge of the lenticule which is then secured therein with an adhesive, thus leaving the visual axis of the eye undisturbed. The lenticule is placed over the cornea with a unique micromanipulation apparatus and normally under vacuum conditions. A laser delivery system is used to reprofile the lenticule if necessary for refining the refractive power of the lenticule.

    Abstract: The conduit sections of a multiple duct conduit system each include a coupling assembly 15 mounted at one end of each conduit section 10, with the coupling assembly including an outer cylindrical coupling 24 and an inner coupling 25. The inner coupling includes an inner receptacle 45 having a support plate 40 with sockets 44 and 45 mounted to both sides of the support plate in alignment with openings in the support plate. O-rings 55 are seated in annular grooves 54 of the passageways formed by the sockets, and internal flanges 48 project inwardly of each passageway. When the conduit sections are connected in end-to-end relationship, the protruding inner ducts 12 of one conduit section 10B are moved into the coupling assembly 15 until the inner ducts 12B are moved into the inner coupling assembly 25, whereupon the relatively small openings 45 of the O-rings 55 are stretched so as to permit passage therethrough of the inner ducts 12. This forms a seal about the inner ducts.

Each module includes a rotary bone holder (50) which supports one end of a poultry part (106) and a stripper assembly (51) that is moved toward and away from the bone holder. Stripper blades (65, 66) engage the poultry part (106) as the stripper assembly is moved away from the bone holder to strip the meat (107) from the bone (105). As the blades (65, 66) strip the meat from the bone, the rotary bone holder is rotated by its sprocket (83) engaging sprocket turning protrusions (93).

    Abstract: The seat belt retractor comprises a frame; a drum rotatably supported by the frame to wind up the seat belt therearound; an emergency lock mechanism; and a seat belt take-up mechanism including, in particular a coiled spring for applying a take-up force to the seat belt. Since a coiled spring is used to apply a take-up force to the seat belt, the take-up torque can be simply determined by changing the diameter of the coiled spring and the number of turns, without increasing the outer diameter of the coiled spring, thus improving the binding feeling of the seat belt to the driver. Further, the coiled spring is excellent in durability, low in cost and small in size as compared with the conventional flat spiral spring.

    Abstract: An apparatus for cleansing gray water from showers and the like and reclaiming the cleansed water for reuse comprises a receptacle and a conduit for delivering gray water to the receptacle. A sensor detects flow of gray water into the receptacle and injects cleansing agents into the flow in response to such detection. A drain conduit communicates with the upper portion of the receptacle for extracting floating contaminants from the surface of gray water therein and a valved conduit communicates with the bottom of the receptacle for selectively extracting sinking contaminates thereform. A pump is adapted to draw the resulting cleansed gray water from the receptacle and deliver it to a remote location for reuse as, for example, in flushing toilets.

    Abstract: A method of constructing multiple story buildings and particularly detention structures as disclosed in which the framing members are lightweight steel channel members which are generally similar and in certain applications, interchangeable. A unique diagonal tension strap system is used whereby diagonal straps are permanently attached at their lower end and tensioned at their upper end with adjustable fasteners before being permanently fastened at the upper end. The system provides for a more rapid and inexpensive construction schedule over conventional construction and affords high resistance to fire and to penetration of the filled walls.

    Abstract: A surgical instrument for performing a uterine cervical conization has a pair of elongated arms pivotally connected together intermediate their ends for scissor-like relative motion. One arm includes a coextensive probe at one end sized to be inserted through the cervical canal. The corresponding end of the other arm secures a cutter in position forming an acute cutting angle relative to the probe with the apex of the angle located adjacent to the distal end of the probe. Locking means is provided for releasably locking the arms in at least one predetermined relative pivotal position and consequently the cutter at a corresponding predetermined cutting angle relative to the probe. In use, the probe is inserted through the cervical canal with the cutter piercing the cervical tissue. At a sufficient depth, the arms and cutter are locked into position and the instrument is rotated about the axis of the probe to excise a cone-shaped tissue sample from about the mouth of the uterine cervix.
