Abstract: The tool of the present invention comprises a pair of locking pliers specifically designed to include opposite and matching jaws which have interlocking projections forming a cavity sized and shaped to compliment and accept wire rope cable so that the jaws may be quickly closed and locked around cable lengths to grip the cable lengths temporarily but firmly and in correct alignment until a conventional clamp can be installed.
