    Abstract: An explosive logic network, including a first explosive path which is crod by second explosive paths such at a detonation propagating along the second path in either direction would cut and open a first end of the first path, and will be propagated at an opposite second end of the first path. The two paths are connected by explosive logic elements such that a detonation propagating from the first end to the second end of the first path will also be propagated in both directions along the second path, and a detonation propagating from the second end to the first end of the first path will cut and open both ends of the second path.

    Abstract: An explosive panel, in which detonation is limited to a predetermined area bout any point in the panel at which detonation is initiated, consisting of an array of identical interconnected explosive tile assemblies, each including an explosive tile, a peripheral explosive path, and a plurality of connecting links crossing the peripheral path at a destructive crossover. The outer end of each link is connected to the outer end of an adjacent tile assembly link, and the inner end of the link is connected to the tile through a delay trail. Each link is connected to the peripheral paths by explosive diodes which propagate an incoming detonation to the peripheral path on both sides of the link. When any tile assembly is detonated internally, it will propagate the detonation to all adjacent tile assemblies through its connecting links.

    Abstract: Method and apparatus for conversion of digital multistate signals, represing a numerical value, to an optical output signal having an amplitude analogous to the numerical value. A controllable density optical transmission device provides plural optical signals representative of the digital states of components of the input signal. The plural optical signals are weighted and summed by optical filters to provide the desired analogous optical output representing the input numerical value. The use of phase shifting filters enables the conversion of negative and complex numbers. A two dimensional liquid crystal array may be used as the controllable optical transmission device to enable conversion of a plurality of numerical values simultaneously.

    Abstract: A venting system for a food processing oven includes a duct assembly comprising a housing defining an inlet into which heated air from the oven enters and first and second outlets through which the heated air is expelled to the interior or exterior, respectively, of the household in which the oven is installed. A serpentine channel formed by a series of parallel plates mounted in the housing between the inlet and outlets is provided to carry the heated air over a relatively long path to cool, permitting water vapor therein to condense on the plates before the air is expelled. A damper plate is mounted in the housing for pivotal movement in the path between the inlet and second outlet. A manual selector movable to first and second positions is coupled to the damper plate for movement thereof to blocking and unblocking positions, respectively, with respect to the second outlet.
