Abstract: A hot beverage maker has a stand and a brewed beverage tank. The brewed beverage tank includes a filter basket, a reservoir, and an outlet port. The reservoir portion of the brewed beverage tank holds a brewed liquid, and the outlet port is positioned in the bottom of the reservoir. A dispenser actuator may be connected to the outlet port and is biased to a closed position, but it may be moved to an open position by a vessel for holding a hot beverage. The stand further includes a recess under the brewed beverage tank. The outlet port may be positioned in the recess, and the brewed beverage tank may be removably mounted on the stand.
Abstract: A computer network management system with an embedded processor, an analog communication means and a digital interface for network management provides a system for remotely and securely managing a network. Backup power in the form of an uninterrupted power supply, or other power means as appropriate, allows the modem to provide power outage notification to a remote site. The system further provides authentication and authorization capabilities for security purposes.
Abstract: A fuel composition and methods for using it for controlling deposit formation in a spark-ignition internal combustion engine, such as a direct injection engine, comprising a spark-ignition fuel, a detergent, and a deposit inhibitor compound.

Abstract: A door security system serves to substantially improve the reliability of the entire door assembly. The system may consist of up to four or five components. A door jamb shield may be mounted around a door jamb on the side of the door jamb corresponding to the door slab free swinging edge. A door jamb shield may also be mounted on a door jamb on the hinge side of the door jamb. The shield includes a sleeve that wraps on three sides around the door jamb to reinforce and stabilize the door system.
Abstract: The invention relates to a seamless hybrid gasket and the method of making the same. The gasket includes a unitary polymer construction and an insert for enhanced pressure resistance, reduced stress to seal, improved thermal cycling performance and structural support.

Abstract: The invention relates to a propeller and an apparatus to modify a propeller that provide new propeller performance characteristics. In a preferred embodiment, the propeller includes two blade sets wherein the blades in the sets of distinct geometries from the blades in the corresponding set(s). In another preferred embodiment, a propeller hub ring extender is selectively secured to at least one propeller hub.
Abstract: The invention relates to an apparatus and method for directing a conveyed product on a conveyor. The apparatus includes a filing channel that includes the ability to adjust the location of at least one end of the filing channel. In one embodiment, the filing apparatus includes a plurality of cards successively arranged wherein the cards are supported by a support member. The cards define the filing channel and the shape of the channel is maintained despite repositioning at least one end of the filing channel.
Abstract: An improved gutter-cover system has a clip which includes movable jaws and a locking lever for locking a given clip in place on a variety of gutter types.
Abstract: A vision test apparatus includes a viewing assembly connected to a chassis wherein the viewing assembly creates an optical path between an image display and at least one front lens. A near/far assembly includes a secondary lens selectively operable with the front lens to create virtual visual distances. An optional transparent panel intersects the optical path and operates at least partially obscure the image display so that the vision testing apparatus has a means to isolate a portion of the image display. A lifting mechanism is operable to raise or lower the viewing assembly for patients of various heights. The viewing apparatus is also rotatable independently of said chassis to present natural lines of sight to a patient during near and far testing.
Abstract: A collapsible container has adjustable height walls. The container includes a base defining the bottom wall of the container, an opposing pair of side walls, and an opposing pair of end walls. The side walls and end walls are pivotable between an upright position and a collapsed position over the base. The side walls and end walls each further include extension walls movably connected thereto between a nested, unextended position and an upright, extended position.
Abstract: A blender jar defines a geometry to impart vertical movement to material being processed in the blender jar, and, alternatively or in combination, improves the horizontal movement to the blended material. By configuring one or more agitators on the floor of a jar, laminar flow or symmetric flow of material around the jar is disrupted. The material is forced in an upward direction in the jar and, therefore, into more frequent contact with the cutter blades rotating in the jar.
