Patent number: 6281648Abstract: A device for control of driving a power window automatically holds a switch in its operated state to continuously raise or lower a door glass by continuously rotating a motor. The device stops the motor when a locking current flows through the motor upon complete closure or complete open of the door glass. The device includes a thermistor inserted in a signal line through which current flowing through the motor passes. The thermistor is disposed in the vicinity of the motor. When a locking current flows through the motor, the current also flows through the thermistor so that the thermistor is heated and shuts off the current flowing therethrough so as to stop the supply of electricity to the motor when the temperature of the thermistor exceeds a predetermined value. Also, the thermistor has a function of shutting off current flowing therethrough when receiving heat radiated from the motor due to over current.Type: GrantFiled: December 13, 1994Date of Patent: August 28, 2001Assignee: Kabushiki Kaisha Tokai-Rika-Denki-SeisakushoInventors: Hitoshi Iwata, Yasushi Nishibe, Kenichi Kinoshita

Patent number: 6267480Abstract: Side-view mirrors are provided in which, without adversely, affecting operations of retracting side-view mirrors and adjusting mirror surfaces, mechanisms are greatly simplified and a waterproofing/dustproofing mechanism can be omitted, thereby resulting in much lower manufacturing costs. In a switching driving section of the control device which adjusts the mirror surfaces of a pair of left-side and right-side side-view mirrors, a motor is selectively meshed with gears or gears by a switching operation by a plunger. The mirror surfaces of the side-view mirrors can thereby be adjusted to an arbitrary mounting angle. Namely, driving mechanisms provided for each of a left-side and a right-side as in conventional structures are combined into the single switching driving section, and thus the manufacturing costs are greatly reduced.Type: GrantFiled: April 12, 2000Date of Patent: July 31, 2001Assignee: Kabushiki Kaisha Tokai-Rika-Denki-SeisakushoInventors: Yoshihisa Hirano, Kyozo Omi

Patent number: 6267410Abstract: A through anchor in which residual stress caused by thermal contraction is dispersed so as to reduce risk of crack formation in a resin molding portion. The through anchor includes a metal plate and a resin molding portion covering a portion of the metal plate. Usually, residual stress due to thermal contraction (shrinkage) differences between the resin molding portion and the metal plate is high in regions near both ends of the boundary between the resin molding portion and the metal plate. A notch portion is formed in each of the regions so as to expose a portion of the outer peripheral portion of the metal plate covered by the resin molding portion to the outside environment. Accordingly, although the resin molding portion thermally contracts after insert molding, the contraction of the resin molding portion is not retarded as much by the outer peripheral portion of the metal plate due to the outer peripheral portion of the metal plate being exposed.Type: GrantFiled: April 25, 2000Date of Patent: July 31, 2001Assignee: Kabushiki Kaisha Tokai-Rika-Denki-SeisakushoInventors: Eiji Koketsu, Naoki Ohashi

Patent number: 6244531Abstract: In a normal state, a roller is engaged with an engaging projection of a rotor constituting a pretensioner and is not nipped between the rotor and a shaft. Accordingly, the shaft is freely rotated and a spool is also freely rotated so that a webbing can be pulled out and wound up. When a vehicle suddenly decelerates, the rotor is rotated and the engaging projection is separated from the roller. Accordingly, the roller is pushed by a taper of the rotor and is nipped between an outer circumferential face of the shaft and the taper. Since the rotor and the shaft are connected to each other through the roller, the rotation force of the rotor is transmitted to the shaft and the spool is rotated and the webbing is wound. Accordingly, it is possible to provide a webbing winding device in which the rotation force of the pretensioner can be transmitted to the spool without causing resistance in the rotation of the pretensioner at its operating time or wasting the rotation force for rotating the spool.Type: GrantFiled: March 3, 1999Date of Patent: June 12, 2001Assignee: Kabushiki Kaisha Tokai-Rika-Denki-SeisakushoInventors: Seiji Hori, Tomonori Nagata
