    Abstract: A garment has indentations forming air channels next to the body of the wearer, and includes: a first yarn preferably being a single monofilament of polyester; a second yarn preferably formed from staple or filament yarn, whether manmade or of natural fiber, such as polyester, cotton, rayon, nylon, acrylic; and a third yarn being an elastomeric yarn that provides proper stretch and recovery to enable a proper fit of the garment next to the body of the wearer. The first yarn preferably is a single monofilament of polyester. The second yarn preferably provides softness for comfort. The third yarn preferably is spandex. For certain applications of the garment, the second yarn is formed from staples of synthetic materials such as Kevlar, Nomex, or Spectra in order to provide fire retardence, cut resistance, and/or impact/ballistic protection. The indentations may be formed only in selected areas of the garment in accordance therewith.

    Abstract: An apparatus for the controlled lowering to the ground of a cut portion of a tree includes a rope and an anchor having an arrangement of guiding protuberances., each guiding protuberance including a bearing surface frictionally engaging and redirecting the rope without the rope fully encompassing any portion of the anchor including any of the guiding protuberances. Three guiding protuberances define a triangular arrangement. Of the three, a first guiding protuberance is disposed in proximity to an intermediate guiding protuberance defining a segment of a rope path therebetween, and a second guiding protuberance is disposed in proximity to the intermediate guiding protuberance defining another segment of the rope path therebetween without the segments crossing. A mounting member is attachable to the tree and a guiding member is pivotally connected to the mounting member along a pivot axis and includes an arrangement of guiding protuberances generally extending to each side thereof.

The hand support includes adjustable tension lead guides for directing the finger tension leads to the fingertip caps. The thumb splint assembly further includes a thumb tension lead guide for directing the thumb tension lead to the thumb-tip cap.

    Abstract: A restraint system for an appendage includes a clamp assembly and an electromagnet capable of being selectively activated for restraint. The clamp assembly includes a base portion and a restraint structure opposing the base portion. The restraint structure defines an opening for receiving an appendage between the base portion and the restraint structure. When the electromagnet is activated for restraint, the clamp assembly restrains an appendage extending in the opening. Another restraint system includes an inflatable bladder arrangement selectively activated to inflate to a first state and to deflate to a second state. When in the first state, the bladder arrangement defines an opening for passing of an appendage there through; however, when in the second state, the bladder arrangement defines an opening that precludes withdrawal of an appendage extending there through.
