Abstract: Disclosed herein is a locator system for a cutting device in combination with a production string. Where the production string has at least one detent along its circumference. The invention also comprises a lock formed to engage the detent, a cutting device, and a body on which the lock is attached. The body is connected to the cutting device such that when the lock is engaged to the detent, the cutting device is operatively connected to the detent and the cutting device is positioned at a location to accurately sever the production string at a desired depth. An alternative embodiment of the detent is a nipple profile and the production string comprises a series of tubing members connected end to end. The tubing members can be a completion tool, tubing, or a combination of both. Also disclosed is a method of using the locator system.

Abstract: Disclosed is an apparatus and method to build programs from activity functional units (AFUs) within a graphical environment. AFUs are comprised of a set of graphically-represented functional units (FUs). The resulting AFUs can be combined with other FUs and previously-created code represented in FU graphical form to build large complex programs which are easily modified and added to by the user by means of manipulation of graphical elements on the computer screen.

Abstract: An apparatus and method for the display of a graphical user interface (GUI) pointer, such as a mouse pointer, in a GUI system operating in conjunction with a color or monochrome-scale display system having a display screens. The pointer is displayed in a color or shade which contrasts the background and foreground information on the display screen on a pixel-by-pixel basis. The color of the pointer is re-evaluated every time the pointer is moved to insure that the pixel-by-pixel contrast is constantly maintained.

Abstract: Disclosed is a system and method for enhancing the security of virtual private network (VPN) connections by automatic pre-negotiation of a secondary configuration. If snooping or other security breaches are detected, the VPN tunnel is modified automatically to the secondary pre-arranged configuration, stymieing attempted security violations.

Abstract: An air cleaning device of the type for deodorizing and/or masking odor from a toilet is provided. The air cleaning device comprises a housing having a cleaning section, the housing connectable to a toilet bowl with the housing being positioned within the toilet bowl; a motor and fan functionally positioned within the housing; a cleaning element positioned approximate the fan within the housing; and at least one switch electrically connecting the fan motor to a power source for operationally controlling the motor. When the motor is activated, air within the toilet is drawn through the housing and across the cleaning element, exhausting the air within the toilet bowl.
Abstract: A Storage Manager that dynamically manipulates and partitions the secondary storage of a computer device without re-writing or revising the secondary storage after each manipulation. The Storage Manager is represented by executable code between the firmware level and the run time operating system and application program level of a computer device. Means are provided to transfer control of the computer device to the Storage Manager prior to the run time operating system or application program gaining control of the computer device. Storage Manager includes a Virtual Table of Contents (VTOC), in which relevant identifying information is contained for each Partition of the secondary storage. At least one Cabinet is created, containing a list of Partitions. Each Cabinet can have a separate list of Partitions, and one Partition can be included in more than one Cabinet. One of the Cabinets is designated as an Active Cabinet. Upon continuation of the boot sequence, the contents (ie.
