Abstract: Apparatus (20) for safely casting a fishing hook (500) and fishing line includes a float (22) having a cavity (28) for receiving the bait (501), fishing hook (500), leader (506), and sinker (24). The sinker is slidably received in the mouth (34) of the cavity (28) which is at the front end (30) of the float. The main fishing line (502) is tied to the front of the sinker and passes through a secondary tube (42) inside the float exiting the rear end (32) to the fisherman. Float (22) and installed sinker (24) have a streamlined configuration. The fisherman casts the apparatus over the water (510) using a fishing rod. Upon impact of the apparatus with the water, the sinker continues due to inertia pulling the leader, fishing hook, and bait out of the cavity allowing them to sink into the water.
Abstract: A decorative holder for a baby bottle includes a flexible arm having a bottle receiver at one end and a clamp at the opposite end. A decorative cover in the form of an animal is removably wrapped around the flexible arm, with the animal's head near the bottle receiver and the animal's groin near the clamp. A baby bottle is placed in the bottle receiver, the clamp is attached to a support structure such as a crib, and the flexible arm is positioned so the baby can feed.
Abstract: An adjustable magnetic jig 20 includes a first magnetic holder 22, and a second magnetic holder 26. A pivoting joint 30 connects the first 22 and second 26 magnetic holders, so that the angle A between the holders may be selectively adjusted. Pivoting joint 30 is also selectively lockable so that angle A can be fixedly maintained. Jig 20 is particularly useful in holding magnetic workpieces 500 in a desired physical relationship so that the two workpieces 500 can be welded together.
Abstract: A ratcheting adjustable jaw wrench (20) includes a stationary jaw (36) having a window (42), a movable jaw (46), an adjustment screw (62) which engages the movable jaw (46), and a handle (22). A frame (54) is slidably disposed within the window which carries the adjustment screw. The frame is rotatably connected to the handle so that when the handle is rotated in a reverse direction (70), the frame, adjustment screw, and the movable jaw move away from the stationary jaw allowing the jaws of the wrench to open and ratchet over the flats 501 of the head of a bolt (500).
