Abstract: A dental implant apparatus consisting of an auger-like lower threaded portion that is screwed into the bone. It includes a divergent intermediate collar with mini-threads for engaging the cortical bone, and a tapered abutment for fixed tooth replacement or a ball-like snap attachment to secure removable dentures. The apical end of the device has a tapered portion with a blunt tip that condenses the medullar bone, which in combination with the divergent collar engaging and wedging into the cortical bone, provides a dual stabilization structure that can be immediately loaded or placed in light function by cementing on a temporary crown or bridge or by lightly attaching a removable full or partial denture.
Abstract: An apparatus for sharpening a knife comprising a clamping mechanism for holding the knife and a base rod mounted adjacent and perpendicular to said clamping mechanism. Two sharpening blocks are located on either side of the clamping mechanism and are slidably mounted on guide rods extending vertically from the base rod. The guide rods are movably fixed to any point along the base rod and can be moved about the selected point in two directional planes that are perpendicular to each other.
Abstract: A probe and method for sensing pressure variations in the exhaust stream of an engine for detecting cylinder misfires. The probe includes a Venturi tube placed in the exhaust stream. The Venturi tube has a sensing tube with an aperture, and the sensing tube is coupled to a pressure sensor for monitoring the pressure of the exhaust stream within the Venturi tube at the point of the aperture. The pressure sensor then generates a voltage signal based on the pressure, and this voltage signal is viewed on an oscilloscope or processed by a microprocessor to generate a waveform readable by a technician. The waveform will indicate the presence of a misfiring cylinder(s), and more specifically, which cylinder(s) is misfiring.

Abstract: A roll out multi-tread ramp design supported by its arched design and the preferably identical shape and angle of each of its multiple treads abutting one another creating a surface area that distributes stress from weight placed on the surface of the ramp. Oblong links comprise preferably two holes per link and hold each tread that abut one another together, a cylindrical pin inserts snugly through an end of each ramp tread, passes through the link hole, then preferably re-enters tread of the ramp which connects multiple treads together and creates strength when weight is placed on ramp and allows the ramp to be rolled up. Ramp length is adjustable by using varying numbers of treads in each ramp assembly. An elastic cord runs through all treads to assist with self-deployment of ramp and assists in holding ramp treads in place.
Abstract: A Multimedia Mailer device is provided that (1) is constructed from a single folded paperboard stock having a plurality of fold lines dividing the sheet into a plurality of panels, (2) includes one or two compartments with pockets secured by pocket flaps for concurrently carrying and mailing a combination of a compact disk or disks (CD) and digital versatile disk or disks (DVD), a standard magnetically recorded gift card or cards or similar size item, and paper items such as a photo or coupon, (3) includes interior surfaces for writing a messages, and (4) is formed by a folding arrangement such that graphics printed on only one side of paperboard stock appear on both exterior surfaces and a plurality of interior surfaces.
