Patent number: 7308755Abstract: A mono-diameter wellbore casing. The mono-diameter wellbore casing is formed by plastically deforming and radially expanding a first tubular member within a wellbore. A second tubular member is then plastically deformed and radially expanded in overlapping relation to the first tubular member. The second tubular member and the overlapping portion of the first tubular member are then radially expanded again.Type: GrantFiled: March 4, 2005Date of Patent: December 18, 2007Assignee: Shell Oil CompanyInventors: Robert Lance Cook, Lev Ring, Edwin A. Patent number: 6832424Abstract: An apparatus and method for in-situ milling includes a support and a pair of spaced apart rails attached to the support. The support and rails are mounted between a pair of opposed mill housing wear plate surfaces. A milling assembly is reversibly mounted on the rails in either of a first orientation and a second orientation. In the first orientation, the milling assembly mills one of the wear plate surfaces. The milling assembly is reverse mounted on the rails to the second orientation for milling the other of the wear plate surfaces. This permits the support and the rails to remain in one position between the wear plate surfaces requiring only the milling assembly to be moved to accomplish milling of each of the wear plate surfaces.Type: GrantFiled: April 20, 2004Date of Patent: December 21, 2004Assignee: Self Leveling Machines, Inc.Inventors: Peter Brown, Tony Backhouse

Patent number: 6823937Abstract: A wellhead is formed by extruding a plurality of tubular liners off of a mandrel into contact with an outer casing. The first tubular liner and mandrel are positioned within the wellbore with the tubular liner in an overlapping relationship with the outer casing. At least a portion of the tubular liner is extruded off of the mandrel into contact with the interior surface of the outer casing. The first tubular liner is extruded off of the mandrel by pressurizing an interior portion of the first tubular liner. Subsequent tubular liners are positioned in concentric overlapping relation and similarly extruded off of a mandrel into at least partial contact with the interior surface of the outer casing.Type: GrantFiled: February 10, 2000Date of Patent: November 30, 2004Assignee: Shell Oil CompanyInventors: Robert Lance Cook, David Paul Brisco, R. Patent number: 6783578Abstract: An air purification apparatus is disclosed that includes a HEPA or ULPA cartridge filter having mounted axially therein an UV lamp extending from a closed end of the cartridge. An air channeling housing is provided for removably mounting the combination filter and lamp assembly for ingress of an air stream through the open end of the combination filter and lamp assembly and for egress of the air stream through the filter medium. A fan can be mounted in the housing either upstream or downstream of the combination filter to provide the means for flowing air through the housing for decontamination by both the filter and UV irradiation provided by the combination filter and lamp assembly. With this arrangement, all contaminants trapped on the filter are within the combination filter and lamp assembly for constant illumination by the UV lamp to destroy bacteria both in the incoming air stream and while resident on the interior of the filter assembly.Type: GrantFiled: December 17, 2002Date of Patent: August 31, 2004Assignee: Isolate, Inc.Inventor: Bernard William Tillman, Jr.
