Abstract: A computer implemented method includes accessing a digital image including a plurality of faces including a first face and a second face. The computer implemented method includes identifying a plurality of identification regions of the digital image including a first identification region associated with the first face and a second identification region associated with the second face. The computer implemented method also includes assigning the digital image to a first face cluster of a plurality of face clusters when a difference between data descriptive of the first identification region and data descriptive of a face cluster identification region of the first face cluster satisfies a threshold. The computer implemented method further includes assigning the digital image to a second face cluster of the plurality of face clusters based at least partially on a probability of the second face and the first face appearing together in an image.

Abstract: A system and methods (300, 400) are disclosed for seamless communications between a communication device and wireless access points. A system that incorporates teachings of the present disclosure may include, for example, a multimode communication device (MCD) (106) having a controller (214) to manage operations of a global position (GPS) receiver (212), and a multimode wireless transceiver (202). The controller can be programmed to authenticate (304) the MCD with a first wireless access point, request and receive (306) a first IP address, establish (308) communications with a network management system (NMS) (100) according to the first IP address, transmit (310) to the NMS a location of the MCD, receive (320) a second IP address from the NMS in response to the NMS determining that the MCD is near a second wireless access point, and establish (330) communications over the second wireless access point according to the second IP address. Embodiments for the NMS are also disclosed.

Abstract: Systems and methods of monitoring blackout events are provided. A particular method includes receiving a server blackout event associated with a scheduled blackout of a first media service. The method also includes receiving at least one client blackout event from at least one set top box (STB) affected by the scheduled blackout. For example, the server blackout event and the client blackout event(s) may be received at a subscriber event transmission interface (SETI). The method further includes storing the server blackout event and the client blackout event(s) at a data warehouse.

An explicit command is issued to a file system to store the file in accordance with a desired performance characteristic of the file such as enhanced write performance, enhanced read performance or enhanced latency performance. Preferably the desired performance characteristic is achieved by storing the file in a physically contiguous portion of the memory or in a logically contiguous portion of the memory. The data network connection is adapted to connect to at least one other distributed mobile architecture gateway of the plurality of distributed mobile architecture gateways. Additionally, the system includes a private Internet Protocol (IP) network connecting each distributed mobile architecture gateway to a respective set of distributed mobile architecture (DMA) servers. Each DMA server is coupled to a respective base transceiver station, and the private IP network also connects each DMA server in a particular set of DMA servers to the DMA servers in the other sets of DMA servers.
