  • Patent number: 6951096
Abstract: The present invention provides a portable machine for assembling a track for a track type work machine. A positioning block is provided for alignment of a pair of track pins that are to receive an outer track joint. A portable assembly tool having a pair of contact tools is adapted to receive a pair of outer track joints. The assembly tool is positioned over the positioning block and a hydraulic ram is extended to press each of the outer track links onto the track pins. The present invention is used with track assemblies that do not require master links.

  • Patent number: 6638025
Abstract: The present invention relates to an improved fluid actuated system, such as those used in hydraulically actuated fuel injectors of an internal combustion engine. A fluid pump supplies hydraulic fluid to a high pressure rail that in turn supplies the fuel injectors with high pressure fluid. Pump output control is provided by an actuator and an electronic control module. A position sensor provides data related to actuator position to the electronic control module. Pump control parameters are determined by the electronic control module, based on fluid pressure, engine operating conditions and actuator position.

  • Patent number: 6634720
Abstract: This invention relates to a rotatable wheel for use on a work machine. The wheel is adapted to cooperate with a wet brake assembly being non-rotatably mounted to a spindle, using a plurality of mating splined surfaces. Positioning of wheel bearings in relation to a load line improves performance and life the wheel bearings. A recessed portion of the hub is provided between a wheel mounting flange and brake sealing surface improves life of brake seals.

  • Patent number: 6564772
Abstract: This invention relates to a the tip structure of a fuel injector as used in a internal combustion engine. Internal combustion engines using Homogeneous Charge Compression Ignition (HCCI) technology require a tip structure that directs fuel spray in a downward direction. This requirement necessitates a tip design that is capable of withstanding mechanical stresses associated with the design.

  • Patent number: 6457502
Abstract: This invention relates to a method and apparatus for maintaining equal air pressure in a pair of tires on a work machine. The invention provides a valve body with a pair of piston chambers. A piston is reciprocatably positioned within each piston chamber, the pistons are biased toward a first closed end of the piston chambers. The closed end of each piston chamber is connected by a passageway to one of the tires. Each piston chamber is additionally fluidly connected to the other piston chamber. When the air pressure in each tire is above a predetermined amount the pistons are moved away from the closed end of the piston chamber and airflow is permitted between the piston chambers thereby balancing the tire pressures. If the pressure in either tire is below the predetermined minimum, the piston in that respective piston chamber moves toward the first end to block, airflow between the piston chambers.
