  • Patent number: 4623693
Abstract: The room temperature-curable organopolysiloxane composition of the invention is characteristic in the remarkably increased adhesive bonding strength of the rubber of the composition to the surface of a substrate of metals, plastics and others on which the composition has been cured. The composition is also advantageous in the improved thixotropy despite the admixture of an adhesion improver mentioned below. Thus, the composition comprises, in addition to conventional components in a deacidification type room temperature curable organopolysiloxane composition, a specific organic silicon compound represented by the general formula(R.sup.3 O).sub.b (MeCOO).sub.3-b Si--O--R.sup.4 --O--Si(OCOMe).sub.3-b (OR.sup.3).sub.b,in which R.sup.3 is a monovalent hydrocarbon group, R.sup.4 is a divalent hydrocarbon group or a polyoxyalkylene group of the formula --C.sub.x H.sub.2x --O).sub.n C.sub.x H.sub.2x --, x being 2 to 4 and n being a positive integer, and b is 1 or 2.

  • Patent number: 4619667
Abstract: The invention provides a method for increasing the color density of a dyed fabric material of, especially, a synthetic fiber as well as the fastness of the color to rubbing and washing. The inventive method comprising (a) pretreating the dyed fabric material with an organopolysiloxane which is an amino-modified organopolysiloxane or a dimethylpolysiloxane, and then (b) exposing the thus pretreated dyed fabric material to low temperature plasma of an inorganic gas under a reduced pressure. The inorganic gas is preferably oxygen or a gaseous mixture containing at least 10% by volume of oxygen. The color-deepening effect is particularly remarkable when the color of the dyed fabric material is black to impart increased graveness and vividness of the color.

  • Patent number: 4619413
Abstract: A forage or picking harvester for the rough grinding of grain has a housing with a cylindrically shaped outer wall. A cutting blade wheel is located within the housing coaxial with the cylindrically shaped wall. The housing has an inlet and an outlet with a discharge duct forming the outlet and extending outwardly from the cylindrically shaped wall. Blades are mounted on the cutting blade wheel and extend radially of the axis of the wheel with the radially outer ends moving along a circle located at the inside surface of the cylindrically shaped wall. A comb-like arrangement of bearing arms is located within the discharge duct adjacent to the opening from the housing so that the blades on the cutting wheel hurl the grains against the bearing arms whereby the arms effect a rough grinding of the grain.

  • Patent number: 4619410
Abstract: In a field chopper or chopper forage harvester, a disc wheel chopper is mounted within a housing for rotation about an axis with an elongated discharge tube opening from the radially outer surface of the housing. A crushing device is located within the discharge tube and is positioned to receive the material carried along the circumferentially inner surface of the housing by the disc wheel. The discharge tube forms an air transport duct located radially inwardly of the crushing device relative to the axis of the disc wheel chopper so that air flow generated by the disc wheel bypasses the crushing device and flows through the air transport duct for supporting the flow of material exiting from the crushing device.

  • Patent number: 4619627
Abstract: A shaft coupling assembly having a first and a second internal fluid chamber system, each containing therein a fluid medium which is placed under pressure when torque is transmitted through the coupling assembly, each of the fluid chamber systems including a plurality of chambers and a plurality of channels which converge from a common point placing the channels in flow communication with each other and which interconnect the plurality of chambers of each of the systems. The channels of the first and the second systems are axially offset relative to each other and each of the systems is designed to create a throttling effect offering resistance to flow of the fluid medium within each of the systems. The coupling assembly enables compensation for axial, radial, angular and/or torsional shaft offset and, additionally, makes it possible to damp the vibrations in an axial, radial, angular and torsional direction and to adjust the stiffness of the coupling assembly.
