Patent number: 6756168Abstract: Embodiments of the present invention relate to a method and a system for determining an exposure time of a wafer photolithography process is applied to a wafer photolithography system and is used to determine the preferred exposure time for the L(N) batch production wafer. In one embodiment, at least three batches of the batch test wafers are recalled in a time sequence and the corresponding test values are obtained. A mean value of the test values corresponding to the at least three batches of the batch test wafers is calculated with a predetermined mathematical model. The calculated mean value is compared with a predetermined qualified examination value, and a margin value between the mean value and the qualified examination value is thus determined to adjust and generate an appropriate process exposure time. The preferred process exposure time is then employed as the exposure time of the L(N) batch production wafer.Type: GrantFiled: August 12, 2002Date of Patent: June 29, 2004Assignee: Mosel Vitelic, Inc.Inventors: Jiunn Yann Yu, Chi Jui Yeh, Kam Tung Li

Patent number: 6754727Abstract: There is provided a data processing system which, from a point of view of increasing process efficiency of the entire data processing system to exhibit a maximum effect, may assign an alias device to a logic device. The data processing system of this invention comprises a host processing device (10) and a storage control device (20) connected thereto via a communication means (50), where the storage control device (20) has a deciding means for deciding, at a time of processing an I/O request of a certain base device, whether there is a need to newly assign an alias device to the base device according to a use situation of a physical device (203). When assignment is decided as necessary, the host processing device (10) is notified of such via the communication means, and the host processing device (10) newly assigns an alias device to the base device when there is the notification from the storage control device (20).Type: GrantFiled: September 20, 2002Date of Patent: June 22, 2004Assignee: Hitachi, Ltd.Inventors: Isamu Kurokawa, Hiroaki Nakanishi, Masaru Tsukada, Hisaharu Takeuchi, Masahiro Kawaguchi

Patent number: 6749779Abstract: This disclosure describes a processing approach for the rapid and efficient in-situ polymerization of specially prepared precursor mixtures to achieve near-net-shape production of objects/articles with exact dimensions. The process relies on the use of polymerizable compositions comprised of a mixture of a reactive plasticizer and an initiator, optionally also including a dead polymer, which compositions are semi-solid-like and induce little shrinkage upon curing as a result of their partially polymerized nature prior to processing. The articles of the invention have a surface and an interior core, the composition of the surface material being distinct from the composition of the core material while at the same time the surface and the core are an integral, monolithic entity. In addition, the articles are dimensionally stable and exhibit high fidelity replication.Type: GrantFiled: September 14, 2001Date of Patent: June 15, 2004Assignee: ZMS, LLCInventors: David S. Patent number: 6746443Abstract: A robotic surgical tool includes an elongate shaft having a working end and a shaft axis, and a pair of linking arms each having a proximal end and a distal end. The proximal end is pivotally mounted on the working end of the shaft to rotate around a first pitch axis to produce rotation in first pitch. A wrist member has a proximal portion pivotally connected to the distal end of the linking arm to rotate around a second pitch axis to produce rotation in second pitch. An end effector is pivotally mounted on a distal portion of the wrist member to rotate around a wrist axis of the wrist member to produce rotation in distal roll. The wrist axis extends between the proximal portion and the distal portion of the wrist member. The elongate shaft is rotatable around the shaft axis to produce rotation in proximal roll. At about 90° pitch, the wrist axis is generally perpendicular to the shaft axis. The proximal roll around the shaft axis and the distal roll around the wrist axis do not overlap.Type: GrantFiled: July 27, 2000Date of Patent: June 8, 2004Assignee: Intuitive Surgical Inc.Inventors: Tracey A. Patent number: 6747063Abstract: In the field of treatment of erectile dysfunction there is disclosed a novel therapy in which the actions of an agent or agents, produce a combination of effects to induce effective erection (and avoid priapism) while reducing or entirely avoiding pain. The method taught combines a first action of an agent which is to antagonize a drug-induced pain stimulus within nociceptive nerves of penile tissue with a second action of either the same agent or of a second agent, which enhances, synergistically, smooth muscle relaxation. The synergism allows for at least an equivalent effect of smooth muscle relaxation to be obtained at significantly lower doses of a smooth muscle relaxing agent such as PGE1 which in standard therapy is also in 40-45% of cases pain-inducing at doses which achieve effective erection.Type: GrantFiled: October 23, 1998Date of Patent: June 8, 2004Assignee: Cellegy Pharmaceuticals, Inc.Inventors: Michael A. Patent number: 6744292Abstract: A charge pump circuit with a small loop filter capacitor is disclosed in the invention. This is accomplished by providing multiple currents which add to the desired current, I. A switching circuit switches one of the currents through the capacitor, while directing a combination of the multiple currents through the resistors. In this way, a smaller current is provided through the capacitor, allowing the capacitor to be much smaller in size.Type: GrantFiled: October 25, 2002Date of Patent: June 1, 2004Assignee: Exar CorporationInventors: Shin Chung Chen, Vincent Wing Sing Tso

Patent number: 6500268Abstract: A method for cleaning objects (e.g., wafers, integrated circuits, photonic devices, opto-electronic devices, piezoelectronic devices, microelectromechanical systems (“MEMS”), sensors, actuators, solar cells, flat panel displays (e.g., LCD, AMLCD), biological and biomedical devices) of particles (e.g., particulate contamination) that attach themselves to surfaces of the objects. The method includes applying a high energy laser source on a surface of a substrate to release one or more particles from the surface of the substrate while maintaining the substrate in a vacuum environment; and applying an electrostatic source directed to the substrate to attract the released one or more particles from the substrate to remove the one or more particles from the surface of the substrate. The method also removes the substrate from the vacuum environment.Type: GrantFiled: August 18, 2000Date of Patent: December 31, 2002Assignee: Silicon Genesis CorporationInventor: Francois J. Henley

Patent number: 6256816Abstract: A method of forming a textile article and the resultant article has contained filling preventing penetration by allergens. A continuous rectilinear strip of air permeable material has parallel side edges and terminates at an edge transverse to the parallel side edges at substantial right angles to the parallel side edges. This continuous rectilinear strip of air permeable material is non-permeable to allergens. The continuous rectilinear strip of air permeable material is folded back upon itself at a fold such that at least the parallel side edges overlie one another and the edge transverse to the parallel side edges spans the continuous rectilinear strip of air permeable material between the parallel side edges. The continuous rectilinear strip underlying the edge transverse to the parallel side edges of air permeable material is cut to form the textile article having a fold and three pairs of overlying edges.Type: GrantFiled: February 26, 1998Date of Patent: July 10, 2001Assignee: Richard Hudson and Sons LimitedInventor: John Richard Dudley Law
