Abstract: A package for holding an article has a front portion with a sheet generally defining a plane and has an outer rim. The package also has a back portion with an area and an outer periphery. The back portion is configured to be secured to said front portion. An inner opening is defined by the back portion so that the inner opening has an area substantially smaller than the area of the back portion. A separately formed first blister is shaped for defining a first pocket configured for receiving at least a portion of the article. The first blister also has a peripheral edge configured for attachment to the back portion in a region of the inner opening of the back portion.

Abstract: A non-stick polymer coated aluminum foil and method of making it. The polymer coating composition comprises a silicone resin, a silicone release agent, a silicone curing agent, a hindered phenol antioxidant and a solvent. The method of making the non-stick polymer coated aluminum foil includes applying the polymer coating composition on at least a portion of one side of the aluminum foil and partially curing the coating composition to allow handling and future processing of the coated aluminum foil without blocking of the coating composition. The curing of the coating composition is completed by heating the coated aluminum foil in bulk.

Abstract: A resealable, flexible package having a reinforced slider device is disclosed. In one embodiment, the flexible package includes a resealable closure mechanism, such as a recloseable zipper for selective opening and closing of the package. The zipper includes a first and second closure profile. A slider device is operably mounted on the zipper for selectively opening and closing the resealable zipper. The slider device has a top wall and first and second sidewalls depending from the top wall. The slider device includes a reinforcement structure to increase the force required to remove the slider device from the flexible package. In one embodiment, the slider device includes at least one rib member integral with and extending outwardly from the top wall and each of the sidewalls. In another embodiment, the slider device includes a first and second rib member constructed and arranged to reinforce the top wall and each of the sidewalls at separate locations.

Abstract: A bus bar assembly includes a first and a second bus bar plate which are maintained in a plane parallel, spaced apart relationship. Each plate includes a number of tabs projecting from its top and bottom edges. A pattern of metalization is formed on each plate, and this metalization extends to at least some of the tabs on each plate. Metalized tabs provide blade contacts which can accommodate fuses, relays or similar electrical devices. In addition, the pattern of metalization on one of the plates can be connected to an electrical circuit, and the pattern of metalization on the other plate can be connected to a source of power. In this manner, a series electrical connection between the source of power, the electrical device, and the electrical circuit can be established.

Abstract: A flexible reclosable package includes a package surrounding wall. The surrounding wall includes a first side panel and a second side panel opposite the first side panel. A reclosable zipper is mounted along the mouth for selective opening and closing of the package. The reclosable zipper includes a first and second closure member with the second side panel extending between them. The second side member includes a tear region having lower shear strength than remaining portions of the second side panel. Methods of operation and manufacture are described.

Abstract: A circular layer of cleaning material is located on a circular elastomer pad located in a circular container. The layer of cleaning material has a surface capable of cleaning an exposed end of an optical fiber when the fiber end is rubbed against the surface of the layer. The circular container includes a base and cover that are relatively manually rotatable when assembled together, and the lid is provided with an opening for receiving the end of the optical fiber.
