  • Patent number: 7476808
Abstract: An audio signal cable, the features of which are that the audio signal cable has arrayed solid and tinsel wire conductors. After each of the conductors are insulated and bundled, they are placed into a surrounding insulation. The solid conductors are of a circular and a flat, thin shape. The solid conductors are of differing larger and smaller diameters and, furthermore, disposed in unequal quantities.

  • Patent number: 7445784
Abstract: This invention characterizes the specific peptide fragment derived from specially prepared zinc charged fetuin and a method of preparation thereof, wherein the fragment was found to contain an apoptosis-inducing activity. Specifically, the amino acid sequence of this peptide is His Thr Phe Ser Gly Val Ala Ser Val Glu (SEQ ID NO: 1). The peptide induced apoptosis in LNCaP (prostate cancer) and HT-29 (colon cancer) cells without affecting CCD 18 Co (normal colon) cells. The in vitro tissue culture study demonstrated that the peptide is more potent than the parent molecule (full-length zinc charged fetuin) in inducing apoptosis. The peptide has a LD50 of 0.3-0.4 ?M, while the LD50 for zinc-charged fetuin is 3-10 ?M.

  • Patent number: 7441889
Abstract: Eyeglasses having a lens frame removably attached to a primary eyewear using easy release snap connection that provides effective resistance from the lens frame from becoming involuntarily detached from the primary eyewear. This arrangement allows the user to maximize the different kinds of eyewear.

  • Patent number: 7434274
Abstract: A panoramic-view diving mask with self-sealing, non-glued, removable front lenses and side lenses integrally formed in the frame body of the mask. The lenses are self-sealed by an assembly process in which a layer of elastic gasket medium is applied or attached to either one or both beveled contacting edges of the frontal and side lenses, respectively. The lenses are assembled by pressing an assembly ring against the frontal lens and side lens, forcing compression against the elastic gasket medium at the contacting edges of the two lenses and securing the front lenses to the side lenses that are integrally formed with the frame body of the mask. The result is a watertight seal, achieved without adhesives, at the contacting edges of the front and side lenses. This process reduces storage space, packaging size and transporting costs during mass production.

  • Patent number: 7402350
Abstract: The invention provides systems and methods for the deposition of an improved diamond-like carbon material, particularly for the production of magnetic recording media. The diamond-like carbon material of the present invention is highly tetrahedral, that is, it features a large number of the sp3 carbon-carbon bonds which are found within a diamond crystal lattice. The material is also amorphous, providing a combination of short-range order with long-range disorder, and can be deposited as films which are ultrasmooth and continuous at thicknesses substantially lower than known amorphous carbon coating materials. The carbon protective coatings of the present invention will often be hydrogenated. In a preferred method for depositing of these materials, capacitive coupling forms a highly uniform, selectively energized stream of ions from a dense, inductively ionized plasma.

  • Patent number: 7397170
Abstract: Malfunctions caused by dusts such as sands and the like in movement portions of a spark-voltage generation mechanism are reduced. The generation mechanism comprises an outer-box assembly in which a base piece, piezoelectric element, and anvil are disposed in line with the longitudinal axis, an axis-direction cam groove is formed thereon, an inner-box assembly in which a hammer that strikes the piezoelectric element and a hammer spring are housed, a cam hole is formed thereon, and a joint-case assembly that limits the stroke of the outer-box assembly over the inner box-assembly, generates a high-voltage pulse by series of operations where one-way-pressure force is applied with a hammer pin inserted into the hammer, the cam groove, and the cam hole to compress and release the hammer spring. The hammer strikes the piezoelectric element by releasing the compression force of the hammer spring, the operation mechanism is shielded with the joint-case assembly.

  • Patent number: 7373876
Abstract: A cook pot in which the lid acts as a supplementary heating device to heat the contents inside the pot quickly. The lid has a top and a long cylindrical piece which fits inside the pot body and extends all the way down to the bottom of the pot. A heating band is then located in the lower end of the cylindrical piece towards the bottom of the pot. This heating band heats the entire cylindrical piece, and thus the contents inside the pot.

  • Patent number: 7372276
Abstract: An underground digital locating system includes a receiver capable of acquiring a signal produced by an underground object and displaying a digital representation of the orientation of underground object and of its depth. The system includes a carrying case for the digital locating receiver, the carrying case further including a transmitter for energizing underground objects to emit a magnetic field. A method of locating an underground object using the described system is also disclosed, as well as methods of measuring a flux field and translating a flux field signal of an underground object into a visual representation of the underground object on the display screen of the locating receiver.
