Abstract: A robotic arm compensator includes a housing, a lock mandrel, a first lock slide, a second lock slide and an instrument attached to the lock mandrel. A method of using the robotic arm compensator includes moving the first and second lock slides in a direction toward each other to engage the lock mandrel in a first state and moving the lock slides apart from each other to disengage the lock mandrel in a second state for providing exceptional radial movement, large lateral travel relative to overall size, zero force to utilize the compensation travel and no axial compressibility.

Abstract: The snag-resistant fishing lure is a snag-free fishing lure designed to minimize the chances of the lure becoming ensnared. The lure has a jig and a blade attached to the blade in a configuration that limits the side-to-side movement of the blade, thereby preventing the jig from rolling to a hook-downward position prone to snagging. A centrally aligned hole is positioned close to the front edge of the blade member. An eyelet extending from the jig body is attached through an aperture in the blade. The blade is limited in its side-to-side movement by contact between the blade edge and either the jig body or the eyelet. The limited side-to-side movement of the blade creates a quick, controlled, oscillating blade action that imparts a natural swimming motion to the lure, emulating prey species movements.

Abstract: Provided herein is an accessory kit for a curb-mounted skylight, including accessory frame members, corner keys, brackets, and an accessory. The frame members, which may have mitered ends, are sized to the dimensions of the skylight opening and are configured to interlock with a corner key element to form an accessory frame. The corner keys are configured to join the frame members at their respective mitered ends and include at least one detent for interlocking with a portion of the accessory frame member. Brackets are also provided for holding an accessory within the accessory frame, and an accessory (for example, blinds or a shade) having end portions complementary to the brackets is also included herein. The accessory kit may further comprise a flexible gasket. The kit may be shipped in an unassembled form and be assembled on-site without the need for tools.

Abstract: A pallet truck steer wheel safety guard is provided. In combination with a steering assembly of a pallet truck, a steer wheel safety guard is disposed behind the steer wheel and defines a length parallel to the axis of rotation of the steer wheel. The safety guard defines a height perpendicular to such length, the height extending below the axis of rotation of the steer wheel. The safety guard includes a bumper, and may also include at least one strut extending from the bumper for attachment to the pallet truck.

Abstract: A container system having a bulkhead liner and method of using the bulkhead liner includes a pliable body with an exterior surface and an interior surface forming a cavity therein. At least one loading aperture is formed through the exterior and interior surfaces for loading a product in the cavity. When filled with the product, the pliable body substantially assumes a shape complementary to the shipping container shape. In one aspect of the invention, a lattice having a plurality of straps is affixed to the exterior surface to resist an expansion force exerted by the product from within the cavity. At least one load-bearing band is situated within the cavity of the pliable body shrouded by a sheath to protect the product from contamination by external elements to which the load-bearing band may be exposed. The load-bearing band is freely movable within the sheath to prevent damage to the pliable body when the product fills the cavity and imparts an expansion force against the pliable body.

Abstract: A predictive header pressure controller uses predictive boiler steaming models to anticipate future changes in boiler steaming rates, converts the anticipated steaming rates to anticipated rates of change in header pressure, compares the anticipated rates of change of header pressure to measured rates of change of header pressure and controls header pressure of a multi-boiler energy system to a derived rate of change header pressure setpoint. The control may be accomplished by a control action that is integral only or it may be an incremental output directly compatible with distribution hubs. A control signal is directed to one or more control devices that adjust and control header pressure.

Abstract: A drive apparatus includes an electrical motor, a power supply unit, a transmission mechanism, a rail part, and an encapsulating part. The drive apparatus is moveable between a first position and a second position and adjustable in these positions and in any position between these positions. The rail part and the encapsulating part are connected to each other in a heat-conducting connection. A method for operating the drive apparatus includes the steps of changing from one operational mode to another mode and subsequently moving the drive apparatus to a desired position.

Abstract: A pre-manufactured self-flashed curb assembly for rooftop daylighting systems is provided. The curb assembly includes a curb defining a clear opening therein of predetermined dimensions for use in attachment to roof trusses having common and standard inter-spacing. The curb includes beams having at least two apertures therethrough for receipt of roof attachment fasteners. Also included is a flashing skirt carried by the outside perimeter of the rectangular curb, for a complete, water-tight assembly.

Abstract: A blind spot targeting system for establishing a cutting point includes a locator with a housing having an indicator and a signal-sensing device. The housing has a hole therethrough, and the indicator is in electronic communication with the signal-sensing device for indicating a cutting point on a first side of a structure. A transmitter is also included, which has a complementary hole therethrough. The transmitter is for placement on a second side of the structure for emitting a signal, which the signal-sensing device senses. The indicator in communication with the signal-sensing device indicates alignment of the hole and the complementary hole to establish the cutting point for cutting through the hole into the first side of a structure and possibly through the second side of the structure in a direction of the complementary hole.

Abstract: A swiveling skylight mount and system is provided. The mount may include a base mount defining an opening therein, the opening bounded by a constantly radiused wall. The mount may also include an adjustment ring, the adjustment ring including an aperture adapted for receipt of a skylight tube. The adjustment ring may include a constantly radiused outer surface. The outer surface of the adjusting ring may be disposed at least partially against the wall defined by the opening in the base mount, and adapted to swivel relative to the base mount. Such a swiveling sky mount may also be included in an adjustable skylight system, that also includes a flashing unit to which the base mount may be attached, and a light transmissive dome.
