  • Patent number: 8146921
Abstract: A beer pong arcade game apparatus and methods of operation are described. Initially, a new round is started and out limit is set. For each shot, it is determined whether the player has successfully made the ball into one of the plurality of cups. If the user makes the ball into one of the cups, that cup is retracted below or flush with a surface. Alternatively, if the user fails to make the ball into one of the cups, the out limit is decremented. The game ends if the out limit reaches zero before the player manages to make all of the cups. However, if the player manages to make all cups before exceeding the out limit, then a new round is started with a new out limit and a new set of cups.

  • Patent number: 8144590
Abstract: A system and method for resource allocation includes, in a network having nodes and links, injecting units of flow for at least one commodity at a source corresponding to the at least one commodity. At each node, queue heights, associated with the at least one commodity, are balanced for queues associated with each of one or more outgoing paths associated with that node. An amount of commodity flow is pushed across a link toward a sink, where the amount of commodity flow is constrained by a capacity constraint. Flow that reached the sink is absorbed by draining the queues.

  • Patent number: 8138840
Abstract: A digital phase locked loop (DPLL) and method include an adjustable delay line configured to receive a reference clock as an input and to output a dithered reference clock signal. A phase and frequency detector (PFD) is configured to compare the dithered reference clock signal with a feedback clock signal to determine phase and frequency differences between the dithered reference clock signal and the feedback clock signal. A digitally controlled oscillator (DCO) is configured to receive early or late determinations from the PFD to adjust an output in accordance therewith, wherein the dithered reference clock signal distributes jitter response to enhance overall operation of the DPLL.

  • Patent number: 8141130
Abstract: A system and method for disseminating policies to multiple policy-based components includes a policy producer which generates a group of policies to be enforced. A policy disseminator classifies each policy with a type, and for each policy type, the policy disseminator identifies policy-based components that handle a corresponding policy type. The policy disseminator sends specific policy types from the group of policies to each policy-based component that can handle that specific policy type.

  • Patent number: 8139700
Abstract: A system and method for closed loop clock correction includes adjusting two or more input signals comprising at least one in-phase clock and one quadrature clock, and applying adjusted quadrature clock signals to a device capable of generating a 4-quadrant interpolated output clock phase. An interpolated output clock phase is delayed to form a clock for a measurement device. Two or more adjusted input signals are measured on a measurement device over a range of interpolated output clock phases. Errors are determined on the in-phase clock and the quadrature clock using sampled information from the measurement device. The in-phase clock and the quadrature clock are adapted using determined error information.
