Abstract: A subscriber station may receive a WiMAX connection identifier (CID) scheduling message from a 2G/3G network. The WiMAX CID scheduling message may include scheduling information that indicates when Multimedia Broadcast Multicast Service (MBMS) data for the subscriber station will be transmitted from a WiMAX network. The subscriber station may receive the MBMS data from the WiMAX network in accordance with the scheduling information.
Abstract: Systems and methods for handling automatic repeat request (ARQ) resets are described. A first device may receive a message initiating an ARQ reset procedure transmitted by a second device. The first device may determine if both the first and second devices have initiated an ARQ reset procedure. The first device may take action to limit a loss of blocks of data exchanged between the first and second devices, if both the first and second devices have initiated an ARQ reset procedure.
Abstract: Methods and apparatus for waking a mobile station (MS) from a power saving mode to receive a media access control (MAC) management message (e.g., DCD/UCD, MOB_NBR-ADV, and SII-ADV) the MS has not yet received. The MS may wake from the power saving mode after detecting a mismatch between a set of media access control (MAC) management message parameters last received by the MS and the information found in an enhanced broadcast control pointer information element (BCP-IE) transmitted in a downlink map (DL-MAP). In this manner, the MS may be prevented from waking up unnecessarily, thereby providing high power efficiency.

Abstract: Aspects of the disclosure provide unbiased channel equalization applied in a MIMO OFDM system with spatial multiplexing. According to certain embodiments, a MMSE receiver can be implemented with the QR decomposition (QRMMSE detection) instead of direct inversion of channel matrix by exploiting an augmented channel matrix. A simple and efficient bias removal technique is presented herein, whereby unbiased QRMMSE equalization may provide identical detection accuracy as a conventional unbiased MMSE approach. For certain embodiments, multiple access interference may be further reduced if the VBLAST version of the unbiased QRMMSE detection is applied.

Abstract: Techniques proposed in the present disclosure may used to update an FFT window position and perform linear phase compensation for OFDM wireless systems with up to two antennas at the receiver. Techniques presented herein may help resolve a problem of determining an optimum FFT window position under the condition that the length of channel impulse response is larger than the length of cyclic prefix.
