  • Patent number: 7728508
Abstract: A light-emitting device can be configured to have little variation in light emission characteristics even at increased temperatures. A light-emitting device can include a light-emitting section for emitting light with a predetermined wavelength, and a fluorescent material for absorbing a part of light emitted from the light-emitting section and emitting light with a longer wavelength. The light-emitting device can mix the light with the predetermined wavelength from the light-emitting section and the light with the longer wavelength from the fluorescent material, and thereby emit a mixed light. The fluorescent material can include single crystal grains in which primary grains have a diameter of 1 ?m or less. Crystal defects, such as a grain boundary, do not often and sometimes never occur in the single crystal grain having a diameter of 1 ?m or less.

  • Patent number: 7726019
Abstract: A modification method for reducing emissions from an annular shaped combustor of a gas turbine plant, having uniformly spaced circumferentially mounted premix burners (20), includes the steps of: removing at least one burner (20), thereby disrupting the spatial uniformity of the remaining the burners (20); and modifying the combustor air distribution system so as to compensate for the increased burner pressure drop of the remaining burners, thus enabling the modified combustor to operate at a load equivalent to the unmodified combustor. Emission reduction is enabled by the increase in the gas velocity of the burner for a given load further enabled by the flame stabilizing effect of disrupting the spatial uniformity.

  • Patent number: 7724539
Abstract: According to the present invention, there is provided a holder having a pressure flange not to be easily disengaged from a small-sized electronic part in pressing and accommodating the holder having the small-sized electronic part in a mounting recess. A holder includes a projecting portion protruding from a pressing flange toward a cylinder axis of a holding portion, formed in a portion having a predetermined length of an inner edge of the pressing flange. With this construction, when the holder accommodating a small-sized electronic part is mounted to a casing of an apparatus, even if the pressing flange is rolled up and about to be disengaged from the small-sized electronic part, the projecting portion engages with the small-sized electronic part, thereby preventing the pressing flange from being rolled up.
