Abstract: A power-up signal generating circuit of a semiconductor memory apparatus includes a current source unit configured to supply a current to a first node; a current sink unit configured to be turned on when the level of a divided voltage dividing an external voltage is equal to or higher than a predetermined level to allow the current to flow from a first node to a second node; a control unit configured to control the turn-on timing of the current sink unit by controlling a voltage level of the second node; and a signal generating unit configured to enable a power-up signal depending on a voltage level of the first node.
Abstract: In a system of a client and a server, the server stores three dimensional CAD data in a cache. The CAD data is stored in the cache in levels of detail further divided into tiles. When a client receives a request from a user to view part of a CAD file, the client determines which portion of the CAD file is being viewed, and at what resolution. The client then checks a client cache for tiles already stored for the desired view. The client requests the view data from the server by providing to the server the client's resolution, the boundary of the viewing area and a list of tiles that the client already has. The server uses the request information to return to the client only the data that is needed for the client's resolution and that is not already stored on the client.

Abstract: An optical module 100 comprises a substrate 110 at which V-shaped groove 110a and 110b are formed through etching to extend along directions perpendicular to each other and a cube-type wavelength division multiplexer 150 that allows light to be transmitted or reflected on a 90° angle depending upon the wavelength of the light, lens elements 140a and 140b constituted of silicon, a light emitting element 120 that emits light to be directed to the outside via a lens element and the wavelength division multiplexer and a light receiving element 130 that receives incoming light from the outside via the wavelength division multiplexer and a lens element, all disposed on the substrate. The components, which contribute to miniaturization of the module, can be mounted all together on a single substrate and thus, the mass productivity is greatly improved and the module can be offered at a more affordable price.
Abstract: A band saw machine includes a saw band for severing a workpiece in a cutting plane; a saw band support for swinging the saw band into the cutting plane before each sawing step; clamping jaws disposed downstream of the cutting plane as viewed in the feed direction for clamping the workpiece undergoing sawing; and feed jaws for advancing the workpiece toward the cutting plane. The feed jaws are openable after closing the clamping jaws and before ending a sawing step, shiftable from the cutting plane to an extent of a successive work piece feed and closable for moving the workpiece against the feed direction away from the cutting plane after the sawing step. An arrangement shifts the saw band support away from and perpendicularly to the cutting plane toward the workpiece held spaced from and upstream of the cutting plane prior to retracting the saw band from the cutting plane.

Abstract: Pharmaceutical dosage units containing flupirtine or a pharmaceutically acceptable salt of flupirtine with controlled release of active substance using a delayed-action or controlled-release component. There are 0.001 to 20 parts delayed-action component for each part by weight flupirtine (calculated as the base) and the release rate of flupirtine is between 5 and 300 mg per hour. In some cases, the dosage units may also contain a rapidly releasing component of flupirtine or of one of its salts. The dosage units reduce the sedative effect of flupirtine.
