  • Patent number: 7343508
Abstract: A variable clock control information generator receives graphics engine activity data relating to the operating level of a graphics engine, and memory activity data relating to an activity level of memory. In response, the variable clock control information generator produces graphics engine clock control information and memory clock control information with respect to each other, such that a relative difference between the graphics engine activity data and the memory activity data is within balance threshold data. Accordingly, the variable clock control information generator adapts to the varying levels of graphics engine activity and memory activity and adjusts the frequency of the graphics engine clock signal and the frequency of the memory clock signal to achieve a balanced relative activity level.

  • Patent number: 7318672
Abstract: An accelerated weathering test apparatus of the type used to concentrate solar radiation upon test specimens including a heating element that transfers energy to the test specimens. A temperature sensor is operatively coupled to one of the test specimens for generating a test signal representative of the operating temperature of the test specimens. A controller for generating a temperature set point is connected to the temperature sensor and responsive to the test signal for selectively controlling a power level applied to the heating element in order to control a rate at which energy is transferred to the test specimens.

  • Patent number: 7318682
Abstract: An apparatus for using liquids in bathing, to be used as a cleanser in bathing, comprises a pouf attached by a support to a squeezable container that contains a bathing liquid such as a liquid bathing detergent, a liquid soap, or either or both of these, combined with lotions or the like. When the squeezable container is squeezed, it delivers liquid from the squeezable container to the pouf to apply the liquid to the skin of the bather. A check valve admits replacement air to the squeezable container but keeps the liquid in when the squeezable container is not squeezed.

  • Patent number: 7315842
Abstract: The invention is a computer-implemented system and method, and a computer-readable medium for use with computer means, that enables portfolio managers to price, on a risk-adjusted basis, any traded or under written risk vehicle in finance and insurance that has a historically-known or computer-generated probability distribution. More importantly, the invention provides a universal approach to pricing assets and liabilities traded on an exchange or over-the-counter market, or underwritten for direct risk-transfer, even if those assets and liabilities are grouped or segregated, or whose prospective outcomes may alternate between positive or negative values.

  • Patent number: 7255277
Abstract: This disclosure generally relates to a system and method for dating. More particularly, this disclosure is a dating system and method that limits the embarrassment of rejection and minimizes costs of implementation based on a market recognition of an external sign to be associated with a dating status such as a color-coded bracelet.

  • Patent number: 6675181
Abstract: A method and apparatus for determining a byte select vector for a crossbar shifter include processing that begins by storing data in a first set of byte locations and in a second set of byte locations. Typically, a data operand is written into the first and a shift value is written into the second set of byte locations. The processing continues by obtaining a shift amount value for the data. The processing then continues by determining, for each byte multiplexor of a set of byte multiplexors associated with a corresponding output byte, whether a wrapped condition will occur based on the shift amount for the data. When the wrap condition occurs, a wrap shift amount is determined based on a mode of shifting. The processing then continues by generating a byte select vector for the set of byte multiplexors based on the wrap shift amount and the shift amount.
