Abstract: A wastewater treatment system for use on marine vessels or land-based applications where wastewater is separated into two separate sources as graywater and raw sewage (blackwater). For blackwater, the treatment system incorporates five general phases (or zones): (1) screening, (2) clarifying, (3) filtering, (4) advanced oxidation, and (5) sludge reducing. For graywater, the treatment system incorporates three general phases (or zones): (1) screening (2) filtering, and (3) advanced oxidation. Each train of the treatment system (blackwater and graywater) can operate as a stand-alone system or can be assimilated into an integrated treatment train for both graywater and blackwater. This system is particularly useful in today's restrictive regulatory environment.
Abstract: The invention is summarized as mobile storage system for weapons and weapon accessories (generally referred to herein as the “mobile storage system”). The mobile storage system is a tool-less system that quickly, conveniently, compactly and securely stores shotguns, rifles, pistols, ammunition, and other accessories like binoculars and flashlights. The mobile storage system can “stand alone” on most any surface. One person can carry the mobile storage system with relative ease—even when the mobile storage system is fully loaded with weapons and weapon accessories. In addition, the mobile storage system can be mounted to the floor of a vehicle for secure transport. As such, the mobile storage system can be conveniently taken on a camping trip and set up inside a tent.
Abstract: The present invention is related to a drum (1), used in washing machines, preferably laundry machines, into which laundry to be washed is to be placed, capable of performing washing by rotational movement around its central axis, preferably made of plastic, comprising a main body (2) and a rear cover (3), whereby said rear cover (3) comprises a circular edge (10) which surrounds the main body (2) and the main body (2) comprises an edge socket (14) in which the rear cover edge is located, the main body (2) and the rear cover (3) being connected to each other without forming any protrusion on the outer face of the drum (1).
Abstract: An anti-personnel projectile launched from a weapon shell required at impact to have a low lethality consequence, in which the projectile is fitted in the shell in a shape characterized by a blunt end in the direction of flight and maintained in this shape by oppositely directed air resistance and propelling forces to obviate a change of shape during flight that might cause a serious injury.
Abstract: A method for separating ammonia and sulfides from a sour water stream is disclosed. The stripping of a sour water stream where it is stripped to create a sour water stripper overhead gas and then contacted with an alkali hydroxide in order to separate ammonia and make an alkali sulfide.
Abstract: An Airway Management Apparatus (AMA) and method for aiding in airway patency/preventing airway obstruction under sedation in the supine position and other situations where tongue and jaw relaxation occurs, by maintaining the jaw thrust/chin lift position and neck extension. It is also useful when airway patency is compromised due to abnormal neuromuscular tone, redundant soft tissue or an increase in upper airway adipose tissue. The ARM Headrest includes lateral extensions which house the foam wedges to provide the mechanical jaw thrust maneuver when positioned under the mandibular angles. When strapped under the chin to perform the jaw thrust/chin lift maneuver, it is very effective in opening up the airway in a large population of patients who obstruct during sleep, sedation, etc. It also has a head and neck support having a partially concave and partially convex surface, respectively.
Abstract: This invention is related with a drum (1) in washing/drying machines, preferably in front loading in washing machines, rotating with a motor around its central axis inside a tub, manufactured of non-metal a material such as made of plastics, comprising one or more plates (3) manufactured separate from that drum (1), to cover the manufacturing faults such as flash at the edges of drum perforations (2) so as to prevent harm to laundries.
Abstract: A free standing perimeter net system is disclosed. The perimeter net system is comprised of a support arm, a support cable, an uplift brace, at least one net system brace, a back plate, a pivot, a vertical support, a strut, and a pair of strut brackets. These components work together to allow a safety net system to easily be installed around a structure without directly attaching to the structure. The support arm rotates between an open and a closed position on the pivot. This configuration allows the net, which is attached to the support arm, to be deployed at various angles. When the support arm rotates, the uplift brace also adjusts and aids in securing the support arm and net in the desired position. The vertical support couples the net system to the building or structure via the back plate and strut. The net system braces are also attached to the vertical support and provide added rigidity to the net system.
