Abstract: A condensate drain pan comprises a compound-sloped floor surface having intersecting sloped faces which slope from a high point to a low point. The intersecting sloped faces form creases therebetween to facilitate condensate elimination, and the floor surface includes condensate directing embossments which further facilitate condensate elimination. The condensate drains to a drain opening at the low point.

Abstract: A collapsible seat having a human support position when in an assembled condition and a transportable condition. The collapsible seat includes a seating member and a base member that are both substantially identical wherein the seat member and the base member are removably interengaged by a telescopic pedestal. When in the assembled condition, the pedestal is in at least one extended position and a top end of the pedestal is rigidly connected to the seat member while the bottom end of the pedestal is rigidly connected to the base member. When in the transportable condition, the pedestal is in a retracted position and is separate from the seat member and the base member and can be stored between the seat member and the base member.

Abstract: A liquid level responsive shut-off valve for filling a tank, such as a toilet water tank, comprises a valve housing having an inlet passageway for connection to a source of liquid under pressure, an outlet passageway opening into the tank, and a diaphragm actuated valve element having open and closed positions respectively opening and closing the inlet passageway to the flow of liquid therethrough to said outlet passageway and the tank. A float and lever operated ball valve element controls operation of the diaphragm actuated valve element in accordance with the liquid level in the tank.

Abstract: A hands free tortilla forming machine for molding dough balls into a tortilla shell. The forming machine includes a forming portion, a linkage mechanism, a vertically extending hinge block, and a foot pedal which can be mounted to a moveable cart. The forming portion includes a base having an upwardly facing forming surface and a base having an downwardly facing forming surface. The vertically extending hinge block beings mounted relative to the base and having a first end facing the base and a second end opposite to the first end. The rear end of the push member includes a lever arm which protrudes from its rear end and which is pivotally interengaged with the hinge block at a hinge point. This provides for relative rotation of the push member relative to the base about a member axis between an access position and a formed position. The lever further includes a second pivot spaced from the first pivot which interengages with the linkage mechanism.

Abstract: A hoist ring for fixed engagement, in a mounted position, in a threaded bore on a load surface of a load member includes a load bearing ring, a support member and a post. The support member has a cylindrical passage having a first axis and further includes a ring slot to pivotally support the load ring and allow the load ring to rotate about a second axis perpendicular to the first axis such that the load ring freely adjusts to the direction of an applied force. The post has an unthreaded portion in the passage and the passage and the ring slot intersect for the unthreaded, portion of the post to interengage with the load ring to retain the load ring in the ring slot when the post is received in the passage.

Abstract: A monitor for an electric arc welder as the welder performs a selected arc welding process by creating actual welding parameters, such as arc current and arc voltage, between an advancing welding wire and a workpiece, where the process involves an arc and is defined by a series of rapidly repeating wave shapes constituting a weld cycle with a cycle time, the wave shapes are each segmented into time states having command signals corresponding to the actual parameters and a time duration. The monitor selects a specific wave shape state, reads one of the actual parameters, compares the actual read parameter with a function of the command signal corresponding to the actual parameter, and uses-the comparison to generate a characteristic of the welding process during the selected state.

Abstract: An expandable intraluminal graft for use within a body cavity having a tubular shaped member with two ends and a wall surface disposed between the ends. The wall surface is formed by a plurality of intersecting elongated members wherein the elongated members intersecting with one another intermediate the ends of the tubular shaped member. The tubular shaped member has a first diameter to permit intraluminal delivery of the member into a body cavity, and a second variable expanded diameter.

Abstract: The pivotal lever arm of a diaphragm-actuated fluid pressure regulator is provided with a damping spring arrangement for frictionally restraining pivotal displacement of the lever arm in response to turbulent flow of gas through the valve.

Abstract: An apparatus for a sunroof that contains at least one cover part for selectively closing and at least partially opening an opening in a rigid roof surface of an automobile. The apparatus is used in conjunction with a roof opening that contains a base part with side parts that lie opposite one another and define a longitudinal direction. The sunroof includes a cover part that can be tilted as well as slid along the longitudinal direction. The apparatus includes a cover carrying element that is connect to the cover part and can be pivoted about a cam pin which extends transverse to the longitudinal direction and can slide along the longitudinal direction.

Abstract: A welding wire for use in electric arc welding and method of making same, wherein the wire has an effective outer diameter and comprises a length of solid metal formed into a series of distinct segments each having a selected volume and having an indented and non-indented region with the cross sectional area of the solid metal at said non-indented region being greater than the cross sectional area of the solid metal at the indented region.

Abstract: A band conveyor device used for the suspended transport of plate-like workpieces, metal sheets or the like and has a conveyor belt which is moved along a holding track. A vacuum device holds the goods to be conveyed by suction against a transport side of the conveyor belt. The vacuum device has a multiplicity of suction nozzles which are disposed on the holding track at the transport side of the conveyor belt, so that their nozzle edges which point towards the transported goods to be conveyed are situated at a short distance from the goods. The air necessary for holding the goods is drawn through local, separate invariable vacuum zones, through which the goods pass in succession along the transport path.

Abstract: A control pedal for a welder that controls the output current level of the welder. The control pedal includes a foot pedal, a start switch, and a current level controller. The foot pedal is movable between an off position, an intermediate position, and a fully on position. The start switch initiates a startup sequence for the welder. The current level controller produces a signal that causes the output current level of the welder to vary between a minimum and a maximum current level. The foot pedal causes the start switch to begin the startup sequence prior to the foot pedal causing the current level controller to generate a signal which results in the output current level increasing above the minimum current level.

Abstract: The inner end of a snake or drain cleaning cable coiled in a rotatable cable storage drum of drain cleaning apparatus is provided with a torque arm which frictionally engages the outer wall of the drum to restrain sliding of the cable relative thereto during a drain cleaning operation. The drain cleaning apparatus is motor driven, and a cable feed device for axially displacing the cable relative to the storage drum is provided on the outer end of a flexible guide tube detachably mounted on the apparatus to facilitate an operator guiding the outer end of the cable into a drain to be cleaned and advancing or retracting the cable relative to the apparatus without having to physically contact the cable.

Abstract: A powder injector for a ladle of molten metal having an exposed upper level with a given shape. The injector comprises a splash deflector with a cast body of heat resistant material with a downwardly facing lower surface defining an outer periphery and maintained above the upper level of molten metal, an elongated powder injection lance with a tubular body extending vertically from above the deflector surface to a position substantially below the surface and into the molten metal and a directional outlet nozzle directed at a transverse angle to the lance body in a direction below the surface of the splash deflector and an upper member mounting the lance with respect to the splash deflector with the nozzle directed into the molten metal substantially below the lower surface and within the periphery of the lower surface.

Abstract: A novelty golf ball ejector for ejecting a golf ball from a golf course cup with a cylindrical side wall, a top opening and a bottom portion with a centered hole. The golf ball ejector comprising a base plate having a top surface for guiding the golf ball onto an ejector plate, the ejector plate being pivotally interengaged with the base plate for ejecting the golf ball out of the top opening of the cup when the golf ball is in a ejection position on the ejector plate. The golf ball ejector further including an activator for actuating the ejector plate.

Abstract: A liquid level responsive shut-off valve for filling a tank, such as a liquid propane tank, comprises a valve housing having an inlet passageway for connection to a source of liquid under pressure, an outlet passageway opening into the tank, and a diaphragm actuated valve element having open and closed positions respectively opening and closing. the inlet passageway to the flow of liquid therethrough to the outlet passageway and tank. A float operated valve element controls operation of the diaphragm actuated valve element and has a closed position when the tank is initially filled which precludes the flow of liquid into the tank thereafter, even when the tank becomes empty, until the liquid supply pressure is reduced to atmosphere.
