Abstract: A marginal oil extraction system having an upper extraction unit, an extraction container, and a lower valve assembly. The marginal oil extraction system uses at least some of these components to cheaply extract oil from a stripper oil well. In some cases the system is capable of separating the oil from the water in the well with a solid barrier and can cheaply remove the oil from above the solid barrier. The system is cheap to install, easy to maintain and provides efficient access to what would otherwise be an inaccessible asset.
Abstract: A polishing composition of the present invention, which is used in precision polishing the surface of a wafer for semiconductor devices, remarkably reduces haze that occurs on the surface of the wafer. The polishing composition includes silicon dioxide, an alkaline compound, a water-soluble polymer, and water. The silicon dioxide is colloidal silica or fumed silica. The average primary particle diameter DSA of the colloidal silica is from 5 to 30 nm, and the average secondary particle diameter DN4 of the colloidal silica is from 5 to 120 nm. The average primary particle diameter DSA of the fumed silica is from 5 to 30 nm, and the average secondary particle diameter DN4 of the fumed silica is from 5 to 200 nm.
Abstract: The present invention teaches an economical disposable emergency cellular telephone. A major object of this invention is a cellular telephone providing a self-defense capability to a user by generating high voltage shocks. A further object is a cell phone which launches projectiles to deliver the shocking voltage. A further object of the invention is a new technique for having a large number of cellular phones share the same small group of access numbers and serial numbers in order to reduce the monthly charges to zero for the end consumer. This makes it more practical to use cellular phones for data transmission and monitoring applications.
Abstract: Method for the adjustment of a control current of current-controlled, hysteresis-affected hydraulic valves for the actuation of individual hydraulic functions of industrial trucks, the control current being generated in an electronic control device according to a manually pre-set transmitter signal, characterised by the following steps for each hydraulic function which is controlled by a hydraulic valve, an average characteristic line I=f(Q) is determined by experiments or via calculation, in which I is the control current and Q is the volume flux of the hydraulic medium flowing through the hydraulic valve, the specific characteristic line I.sub.

Abstract: A polishing composition and a rinsing composition according to the present invention can effectively suppress wafer contamination caused by metal impurities. The polishing composition includes a chelating agent, an alkali compound, silicon dioxide and water. The rinsing composition includes a chelating agent, an alkali compound and water. The chelating agent contained in the polishing composition and the rinsing composition is an acid represented by the following chemical formula (1) or a salt thereof. In the chemical formula (1), each of Y2 and Y3 represents an alkylene group, n is an integer of 0 to 4, each of 4+n substituents represented by R8 to R12 is an alkyl group. At least four of the alkyl groups have a phosphonic acid group.

The channel is sized to accommodate at least a portion of a balloon catheter therein. Each inflatable member has a balloon contacting portion.
Abstract: A stent comprises two serpentine bands, at least one first connector; and at least one second connector. The first and second connectors connect the two serpentine bands together. The first connector and the second each have at least a first portion of a first curvature and a second portion of a second curvature. The second portion being more flexible than the first portion. The first and second connectors are adjacent one another and the first portion of the first connector nests within the second portion of the second connector and the second portion of the second connector nests within the first portion of the first connector.
Abstract: This invention relates to a method of providing a coating on a medical device, especially a dilatation balloon, which improves the durability of the balloon.
Abstract: In at least one embodiment, a firearm support assembly comprises a mounting ring that is constructed and arranged to extend around a gun barrel and to be rotatably engaged with a portion of the firearm. The mounting ring defines a central axis. A plurality of legs are attached to the mounting ring at a location above the central axis, and each leg extends downwardly below the central axis.
Abstract: A predetermined arrangement of differentially lubricious areas on a balloon catheter for controlling against unexpected movement of a stent carried thereon when in situ in the body.

Abstract: A system for applying nail polish to a nail, the system including a container having a wall and within the wall of the container is a plurality of compartments, each compartment configured for retaining a spray-on container for nail polish. The container may include a lid with a handle. The container may include a rotating member for rotating each compartment to an opening which is located either in the wall of the container or in the lid. The handle of the lid is engaged to the rotating member and when the handle is rotated, the rotating member rotates accordingly. This system may be used in combination with a nail clip for protecting the skin and cuticle of a finger or toe while exposing the nail.

Abstract: Medical device balloons are formed from a tubular parison by a process or apparatus which establishes a controlled location (initiation zone) on the parison where radial expansion is initiated. Initiation within the initiation zone is achieved by heating the parison in that location to a higher temperature than the remainder of the parison for at least a portion of the blowing time. A variety of apparatus configurations are provided, some of which allow for the size and location of the initiation zone to be readily reconfigured. Balloons can also be modified, post-blowing, using heating apparatus and methods described.
