  • Patent number: 7984392
Abstract: The present invention relates to a matching method of pattern layouts from inverse lithography, which makes the pattern cells in the same groups identical to avoid a repeated verification and to improve the yield. The method comprises the step of: analyzing a target designed layout by hierarchy; categorizing the pattern cells with the same shape into a group; inversing the target designed layout by inverse lithography; inspecting the inversed pattern cells in the group with each other and replacing the variant ones to make all the inversed pattern cells identical.

  • Patent number: 7979768
Abstract: A receiver sends hybrid automatic repeat request (H-ARQ) feedback for a current packet and at least one previous packet, whereby an error is detected based on the H-ARQ feedback. The receiver sends H-ARQ feedback with an identification of the packet or a sequence number of a packet that the receiver expects to receive next. The receiver stores a packet in a memory before combining the packet with a previously received packet, and decodes the stored packet after failing to decode a combined packet to avoid a corruption error. The receiver may set a timer when sending a NACK. If the receiver fails to receive a packet until expiration of the timer, the receiver initiates a process for recovering the packet. Each H-ARQ feedback may be associated with other attributes. Some H-ARQ processes may operate in an asynchronous mode while others in a synchronous mode in the same direction.

  • Patent number: 7978592
Abstract: Disclosed are multiple embodiments of method and apparatus to facilitate Multiple Users Reusing One Timeslot (MUROS) operation in wireless communications. A pair of wireless transmit/receive units (WTRUs) may be multiplexed onto a timeslot using a same pulse format. A WTRU may communicate on a network using MUROS technology both on the downlink (DL) and the uplink (UL), and may use a first pulse format on the DL and a second different pulse format on the UL. Pulse format support information to facilitate MUROS operation may be communicated between a network and a WTRU. The support information may be communicated in Radio Resource Control (RRC) messages. A network may allow for concurrent operation of WTRUs using different types of MUROS technology. For example, a network may include WTRUs using MUROS based on orthogonal sub-channels (OSC) while other WTRUs use MUROS based on an interference-canceling technology such as Downlink Advanced Receiver Performance (DARP) Phase I or Phase II.

  • Patent number: 7978658
Abstract: In a wireless communication system using a reference channel used for error rate measurement and associated with a plurality of transport channels multiplexed on a coded composite transport channel (CCTrCH), a method is employed for reselection of the reference channel from favorable candidate transport channels. A channel is initially selected from the plurality of multiplexed channels as the reference channel. Channels are monitored based on quantitative data content criteria to determine whether an ON or OFF state exists. A different channel is selected from the plurality of multiplexed channels as the reselected RTrCH when a better candidate transport channel in the ON state becomes available, or when the monitored RTrCH reflects an OFF state.

  • Patent number: 7974365
Abstract: A method and apparatus for correcting symbols of a common pilot channel (CPICH) to generate an accurate signal-to-interference ratio (SIR) estimate in a wireless communication system are disclosed. In one embodiment, a non-stationary mean of a group of the CPICH symbols is estimated, the CPICH symbols are delayed, and the CPICH symbols are corrected by dividing the delayed CPICH symbols by the estimated non-stationary mean of the group of CPICH symbols. In another embodiment, a signal power estimate is generated based on the magnitude of CPICH symbols, a noise power estimate is generated by subtracting the signal power estimate from a total power estimate based on the magnitude of the CPICH symbols, and a SIR estimate is generated for symbols that have undergone a time varying gain by dividing the signal power estimate by the noise power estimate.

  • Patent number: 7972738
Abstract: Upon determining the temperature of and pressure in a flow path connecting between a fuel cell and a fuel storage container for supplying fuel to the fuel cell in order to detect a residual capacity of a fuel cell battery, the temperature is determined from those measured in electronic equipment connected to the fuel cell battery. Therefore, there can be provided a residual capacity detection method and a residual capacity detection system for a fuel cell battery, which can give a user accurate information on battery residual capacity even if there is no temperature detection part in a fuel cell system. The present invention can also be understood as a residual capacity detection system for a fuel cell battery.
