  • Patent number: 6823814
Abstract: The reflective marker allows a user to easily place the invention in a desired location without damaging the housing or structure of the marker. More specifically, the reflective marker that contains a foot cleat allowing a user to foot pressure to the cleat or to strike the cleat with a mallet/hammer to drive the invention into the ground. As a result, force is not exerted on the marker's external housing or marker's reflector, and the reflector's aesthetic appeal, structural integrity and reflecting capacity are kept intact. The reflective marker has a primary and a secondary anchor spike for securing the device in the ground.

  • Patent number: 6758762
Abstract: The present is a novel golf grip capable of retaining a divot repairer and a ball marker. In a preferred embodiment the golf grip is a putter grip. The grip has an open end, a closed end, and a hollow body portion for accepting a golf club shaft. The closed end of the grip a slot is formed for insertion and retention of a divot repairer. In the body portion of the grip, proximate the closed end at least one aperture is formed in the grip for insertion and retention of a ball marker. The ability to retain a divot repair tool and a ball marker within a club grip, such as a putter grip, allows the golfer to readily repair the course during play, as well as speed up the course of play.

  • Patent number: 6752411
Abstract: A multi-stage torsion axle that has a first stage torsion assembly positioned within a second stage torsion assembly. The first stage torsion assembly has a square first stage shaft within a first elastomeric bushing. The second stage torsion assembly has a square tubular second stage shaft within a second elastomeric bushing, the second stage shaft fitting around the first stage torsion assembly. A hollow square tubular housing fits around the second stage assembly. The resilience of the first stage torsion assembly is less than the resilience of the second stage torsion assembly. A stop mechanism directly transfers torque from the first stage shaft to the second stage shaft when the first stage has rotated more than a predetermined amount relative to the second stage shaft.

  • Patent number: 6739440
Abstract: A radial, bi-directional overrunning clutch is provided that supplies on-demand power to, for example, the front wheels of a vehicle, while allowing the front wheels to overspeed the rear wheels. The clutch comprises a driving member having a plurality of radially-outwardly-biased pawls, a reversing ring, a driven member having a plurality of notches, and a housing having a plurality of pawls. The pawls on the driving member engage outwardly concentric notches on the driven member, and are activated and deactivated by inner reversing cams of the reversing ring. The pawls in the housing engage notches in the outer surface of the reversing ring, which causes the reversing ring to move between a first position and second position relative to the driving member. The engagement of the housing pawls with the reversing ring notches is regulated by the driving member.

  • Patent number: 6652020
Abstract: A reinforcing bracket for trailer frame-member butt joints comprises a first flange adapted to be parallel to the face of the frame members, a second flange extending perpendicularly from the first flange, and a third flange extending from the second flange parallel to the first flange. The first flange includes a plurality of dimples that correspond to dimples in the frame members. Each dimple in the first flange has an aperture therein that corresponds to an aperture in the corresponding frame-member dimple. In operation, the bracket is bolted to the frame members forming the joint. The present invention also describes a trailer frame utilizing the reinforcing bracket.

  • Patent number: 6618974
Abstract: The present invention is a message display apparatus that is preferably weather resistant. The present invention is comprised of a pair of parallel side frame members attached at their ends to a bottom frame member. The side frame members are also adapted to receive a pair of covers where at least one of the covers is visibly clear. The clear cover allows a message board to be displayed while simultaneously protecting it from poor weather. Additionally, a top frame member is attached to the message board so that it can be easily inserted into and removed from the message display apparatus.
