Abstract: This disclosure depicts a novel apparatus for use with an electric limit switch. The apparatus is a neutral position limit switch lever head, or multiple position off-center to center movement translator, for use with an operator having first and second movable elements and a receiver having a movable member. The apparatus comprises a support cover, a linear actuator in contact with the movable member of the receiver and a tri-lobe roller follower in contact with the linear actuator and the two movable elements of the operator. The support cover retains the linear actuator in the center of the support cover and also holds the tri-lobe roller follower in position. The novel apparatus converts the off-center movement of the movable elements of the operator to a linear center movement of the linear actuator.
Abstract: The disclosure depicts a novel pushbutton switch mechanism having a pair of pushbutton switches with electrical contacts and an interlock mechanism between the switches. The interlock mechanism comprises; a shoulder on each of the pushbutton switches, an interlock plunger for contacting the shoulders of the pushbutton switches, and a return spring in contact with the interlock plunger for retaining the plunger in a predetermined position. A plunger support and a plunger guide in the pushbutton switch mechanism for defining an area in which the interlock plunger is contained. When one of the pushbutton switches is depressed, the interlock plunger contacts the shoulder of the other pushbutton switch thereby preventing the other pushbutton switch from being depressed simultaneously.
Abstract: A material for use in making electrical contacts is produced in a powder form suitable for later processing into electrical contacts by standard metallurgical techniques generally involving compacting, sintering, and forming or cutting to make the desired contact size and shape. The material, and in most general applications the contact made from the material, essentially consists of silver, approximately 15% cadmium oxide by weight, and lithium oxide at a proportion of about .005 weight percent of lithium, which is approximately equal to .04 molecular percent of lithium oxide. The lithium oxide is added and uniformly distributed on the surfaces of the powder particles by precipitation.
Abstract: A high voltage motor starter enclosure includes a floor mounted vertical section consisting of three starter cells, stacked one on top of the other, each cell being suitable to mount one full voltage, non-reversing, squirrel cage starter having a contactor of the air break type.
