Abstract: A tool accessory having an extensible operative portion which may be stored in a handle portion when not in use. The operative portion is pivotally attached to one end of the handle portion to allow the operative portion to pivot from a fully open position to the closed position. The operative portion may be ejected from the closed handle position in the same manner as a switchblade knife, and may take the form of different items, such as a pen, scissors, a nail file or a pair of tweezers.
Abstract: An improved protective helmet of the type including a two-way voice controlled communication system having electronic transmitting and receiving circuitry. When incoming signals are received by the voice communication system, a transducer vibrates a rigid portion of the helmet, causing the helmet to act as a diaphragm to produce intelligible audible sounds. The electronic circuitry of the voice communication system is mounted in a resilient carrier for protection against damage from impact and shock to the helmet. Alternatively, the electronic circuitry may be supported on and protected by the conventional cushion lining of a protective helmet.
Abstract: A self-teaching device which visually indicates the desired response to data presented. In the event an erroneous response is entered into the system, all prior responses are erased, requiring a complete repetition of the previous responses, thereby, reinforcing the correct response. A scrambler insures against patterned responses to the data presented.
