Patent number: 5360553Abstract: This disclosure relates to a processor comprising means for mixing a process material with a process liquid (such as water) and forming an emulsion or slurry. Means is provided for pressuring and heating the slurry, and the slurry is then fed to means for quickly reducing the pressure to a relatively low value and further increasing the temperature. The rapid drop in pressure and increase in temperature causes components of the slurry to convert to volatile gases and separate from the remainder of the slurry which is removed from the processor in the form of solids. The gas is fed to one or more condensers which separate the gas into useful liquids such as various grades of oil.Type: GrantFiled: August 20, 1993Date of Patent: November 1, 1994Inventor: Paul T. Patent number: 5126833Abstract: In a device for inverting the scanning direction of NTSC signals, signals for every line are converted into digital signals to be stored, which are read out inversely in time. The digital signals thus read out are transformed into a pulse train (sampling signals) having a clock frequency of 4fsc by means of a D/A converter, from which the brightness component is separated by means of a low pass filter. A pulse train of 4fsc of color modulated wave is obtained by forming the difference between the brightness component and the output of the D/A converter. The color modulated wave is obtained through a band pass filter, whose central frequency is fs, after having inverted alternately the pulses in this pulse train in the polarity.Type: GrantFiled: October 4, 1991Date of Patent: June 30, 1992Assignee: Clarion Co., Ltd.Inventor: Haruo Sakata

Patent number: 5067444Abstract: A hand-held animal grooming tool is configured as a circular hoop-formed curry comb having a sealing cap sealing off the edge of the hoop opposite the comb serrations, and further including a handle attached to the hoop, the handle having an axial passage therethrough communicating with the interior of the hoop. The handle is adapted at its outer end for connection to a flexible conduit fed by a hot air blower so that with the curry comb in use against the body of the animal the open face is effectively sealed by the animal's body, and warm air is blown along the serrations to dry the animal during the combing operation. Alternative versions of the instrument include hollow-chamber brushes having similar handles and having a plurality of air passages for directing heated air flowing into the handle and out these passages generally along the bristle directions.Type: GrantFiled: May 17, 1990Date of Patent: November 26, 1991Inventor: Susan Parker
