Abstract: The cutter designed for the cutting of sunken bolts for the purpose of removing said bolts with nuts rusted thereon is comprised of a U-bolt having a head plate slidably mounted on the said U-bolt, a pair of jaw plates slidably mounted on the said U-bolt above said head plate and having opposing cutter jaws extending laterally therefrom and tapered towards short cutting edges for mounting over the outer end of a sunken base hold down bolt, and particularly over the outer end of a Johnny base hold down bolt with a nut that has rusted thereon so that the threaded shank passed threadedly through said head plate may be turned against the inner of said jaw plates to force the cutter edges together and cut off the end of said bolt without harm to said base and particularly said Johnny base, there being a pair of stop nuts threadedly engaging the outer ends of the U-bolt.

Abstract: The special retrieval tool has a cylindrical cupped head hinged on a lateral axis to the outer end of an extensible handle for reaching the most remote tappet followers inwardly of the crankcase through the camshaft end bearing openings, after the removal of the camshaft end bearing assembly therefrom. The cylindrical cupped head is turned to an open position at right angles to the handle to facilitate holding the open end under the desired follower to receive it when released from its bushing. A rod connected at its outer end to a plate mounted on the side of said cupped head eccentrically of said lateral axis has its inner end passed through a screw clamp so as to hold it after turning the cupped head to closed cup position in substantially parallel alignment with said handle for easy and safe withdrawal of the tool from the crankcase without danger of accidentally dropping the follower out of the cupped head into the crankcase.

Abstract: The bracket assembly comprises a pair of opposed channel plates supporting a fence board clamped therebetween, and having a bearing sleeve portion extending from one of said plates through a bore in the fence post in which said brackets are mounted, the other of said pair of plates having a bolt extending therefrom through said sleeve, and a nut on the end of the bolt for suitably tightening a washer on said bolt against said post and the outer end of said sleeve.
