Abstract: A method and system for adaptively controlling level of a receiver buffer in a client in a multimedia streaming network. The multimedia streaming network has a server for providing streaming data to the client. The server is responsible for adapting the transmission rate to the reception rate or congestion control, and for adapting the sampling rate to the transmission rate. Thus, the server manages the shift and keeps it within the rate adaptation operating range. The client is responsible for compensating for the packet transfer delay variation, which is also known as network jitter. The client is also responsible for setting parameters of the server rate adaptation operating range. The client chooses and sends the shift parameters to the server, but it is up to the server to adapt its encoding rate or transmission rate when responding to the parameters.

Abstract: The present invention relates to media synchronization. The invention is mainly addressed to synchronization of continuous media streams that are provided in data transfer systems. In a sending device, at least one of media components being transferred is provided, by means of data hiding, with synchronization information relating to one other of the media components. Abstract: A terminal for use by a list broker, a terminal for use by a list manager, and a terminal for use by a service bureau (list provider) of a supply chain in the list industry, each terminal including means for translating to and/or from native format an indication of a subset of a list expressed in XML. An intermediate node is also provided, for optional use as a router and validator of XML statements exchanged between the elements of the supply chain. Advantageously, the indication of a subset of a list expressed in XML is provided using terms (tagged field values serving as select filter parameters) from a with the tags according to a list of terms in an XML schema description, and the possible values, in some embodiments, according to a predetermined “lingo” or, in other words, a standardized vocabulary. Corresponding methods are also provided.

Abstract: An LCD gate driver circuitry having a control circuit to adjust the driving current according to a bias control signal, wherein the control circuit comprises a plurality of PMOS switching elements connected in parallel and a plurality of NMOS switching elements connected in parallel. These switching elements form a plurality of PMOS/NMOS switching element pairs. Each of the pairs serves as a current booster stage in the gate driver circuitry. The “ON”/“OFF” state of each switching element pair is controlled by a separate bias signal so that the switching element pairs can be selectively turned on in order to adjust the driver current as needed. As such, the same gate driver circuitry can be used with different LCD panels.

Abstract: A near field communication (NFC) device is capable of operating as an NFC initiator device or an NFC target device for exchanging request and response messages with another similar device in order to determine a secondary transport mechanism suitable for communications between the two devices with bandwidth greater than available for NFC and for determining appropriate roles for both devices without excessive communication. Such determination of roles can be determined by rule or by exchanging information indicating a choice of roles.

Abstract: An OLED comprises an anode, a hole source, an emissive region, an electron source and a cathode, wherein the materials for the electron source and the hole source are chosen such that the electrical conductivity of these charge carrier sources is greater than the electrical conductivity of the emissive region. In particular, the electrical conductivity of the source layers is between 10?8 to 102 S/cm. Furthermore, one or both of the hole source and the electron source are made substantially of one or more inorganic materials. The emissive region can have one or more layers of organic material. The materials for the emissive region are insulators. The cathode can be made of a metal such as Mg:Ag and Al, and the anode is made of ITO or the like. The electrical conductivity of the cathode and the anode is significantly higher than 102 S/cm.

A delay-locked loop unit is adapted to trigger generation of first-type edges of a target signal. A main control unit is adapted to control operation of the delay-locked loop unit in a way that the delay-locked loop unit is turned on before generation of each first-type edge of the target signal and turned off after generation of each first-type edge.
