  • Patent number: 4727920
Abstract: A windshield sunshade for placement behind the windshield of an automobile, truck, boat or other vehicle that blocks and reflects hot radiation from the sun that otherwise greatly overheats a vehicle interior during hot sunny days. The sunshade is made up of connected and hinged planar parallelograms each having spaced parallel side edges but with the vertically extended edges at an angle relative to the generally horizontal upper and lower edges other than perpendicular. Other than at overall sunshade outer side edges and top and bottom edges the parallelograms are joined in horizontal tiers and side by side in vertical columns. There is a top center cut out to accomodate rear view mirror structure with part of the windshield sunshade still positionable to extend between the back of the rear view mirror and the windshield.

  • Patent number: 4693112
Abstract: A universal refrigerant system gas pressure check gauge with a valve head opening about a valve pin within the valve head opening that is shaped to fit on and over the low pressure suction side valve fitting of a refrigeration system with the valve stem of the refrigeration system suction side valve fitting engaging and being depressed by the gauge valve pin to open the valve. A resiliently compressible washer is held in the gas pressure check gauge valve head opening with a center opening in the washer that does not close on the valve pin in order that refrigerant gas may pass on through into valve head and gauge stem internal passages. The resiliently compressible washer is of such thickness as to be engaged and resiliently compressed by the end of the refrigeration system suction side valve fitting as the valve stem is being depressed by the gauge valve pin thereby sealing the valve fitting to the check gauge to insure that refrigerant materials leak very little if at all.

  • Patent number: 4690440
Abstract: A gate latch structure with a striker bar is mounted on a fence gate hinge mounted to the fence. A gate handle is provided that has a striker bar enclosing loop reinforcing the mounting of the striker bar on the gate. The latch structure also includes a pivotal latch member pivotally mounted on a latch mounting back plate that is mountable on a fence post or the middle end of the other half of a double gate. The striker bar receiving opening in the pivotal latch member has a rear edge recessed back from the rear end of the striker bar receiving opening in the latch mounting back plate. With this structure the back plate absorbs striker bar closing impact directly rather than such impact being imposed on the pivotal latch member and on the pivot screw mounting the pivotal latch member.

  • Patent number: 4682145
Abstract: A level sensing system with a level sensor-data transmitter and a data receiver-display for use particularly with long (18 wheel type) trailer dump trucks plagued with a problem hazard of trailer turn over as it is elevated in the dumping process. The sensor-data transmitter is placed in a desired location on the truck trailer where it is to monitor a level condition generally on the trailer frame in the area of the trailer rear wheels, and the data receiver display is located in the truck cab for observation by the operator. The level sensor includes a plumb vane mounted with two right angle pivot axis-pitch and roll with the rotation around the roll axis when the wheels are not level. Since the plumb vane tends to remain vertical, the frame around it, attached to the truck trailer, moves relative to the vane with this movement in the roll plane sensed and data, with roll beyond a predetermined limit, transmitted reflecting roll axis angular rotation. With a roll .THETA.

  • Patent number: 4671413
Abstract: A pre-measured amount of dry mix cement that is enclosed in water soluble material and shaped with a water reservoir is placed in a ground hole sized to the form it is receiving. It is in conical or cylindrical form with a center square or round hole receiving a square or round post or pole and is placed in the ground and the post or pole is inserted in the center hole. The water reservoir is of such volume that when it is filled the proper amount of water is provided for the amount of dry mix cement in the form. Then with dissolving of the water soluble material the cement and water may be mixed and stirred in place around the post or pole manually with a mixing rod. With drilling through a floor and into earth beneath the floor a similar product is used with the dry mix cement encased in water soluble material and shaped with a water reservoir. The form is placed in the hole and the reservoir is filled with water and then mixed with dissolving of the water soluble material.

  • Patent number: 4658893
Abstract: A down the hole product flow jet pump with a reverse flow removable injection nozzle that can be in the form of an orifice member placed in a plug or a one piece orifice and plug member that is moveable up and down the pumping fluid line dependent on the direction of fluid flow and/or non-flow in the line. The jet pump includes a check valve that opens for inflow of product from the well only when a drawing vacuum is created in the jet pump vacuum chamber so normal pumping flow can be stopped and reversed with the check valve closing when pumping flow stops and remaining closed during reverse flow in the system. A trap is provided at the wellhead into which the injection nozzle is floated with reverse flow of pumping fluid in the system. The injection nozzle is removable from the trap for servicing or replacement by insertion in the trap and then, with the trap opened, permitted to float down or be pumped down to seat in the jet pump housing on location down the hole.

  • Patent number: 4636543
Abstract: A composition solution of resinous polymeric material with the composition including polyvinyl chloride or polyvinyl chloride-polyvinyl acetate copolymer, a saturated vegetable oil release agent typically coconut oil, and a plasticizer such as epoxidized vegetable oil. The composition solution is useful for forming a temporary protective coating on glass, metal, and non-porous plastic or painted surfaces unaffected by the solution solvents. Another use for the composition solution is to provide a plastic permanent protective coating for substances such as sheet rock and wood. This not only presents a barrier to insect invasion such as by termites into wood but also presents a smooth surface on wood forms used as cement forms that gives effective release from cement molded thereon. It is a sealer surface for sheet rock ideal for the mounting of wall paper which when removed may be peeled therefrom without tearing of the sheet rock surface paper.
