  • Patent number: 5766666
Abstract: Producing reduced fat sweetened condensed milk includes, inter alia heating steps to denature whey protein to control age thickening of these products, process steps to include heating a reduced fat starting milk product or the skim portion of the starting milk product prior to the addition of sweetener. Producing a fat free product includes, inter alia, the same heating steps as described above. The starting material for producing the fat free product however, is a fat free starting product.

  • Patent number: 5756635
Abstract: The present invention relates to a process for obtaining PAI fibres by spinning PAI in solution and to the fibres thus obtained. They are obtained by dry or wet spinning into dimethylalkyleneurea followed by removal of the solvent and overdrawing at high temperature. The yarns and fibres obtained are produced from PAI based on tolylene or meta-phenylene diisocyanate, and on an aromatic acid anhydride and/or an aromatic dianhydride, and optionally on one or a number of diacid compounds. They exhibit an outstanding thermomechanical behavior and make it possible to gain access to very low linear densities.

  • Patent number: 5756223
Abstract: An article for use at high temperatures and in corrosive environments comprising a substrate of refractory metal or alloy thereof. The substrate is coated with an interlayer followed by an optional preliminary coating and a final coating of a platinum group metal. The interlayer reduces oxidation of the substrate and prevents metallic interdiffusion between the final coating and substrate contributing both to an improved tolerance of the article to the working environment and reduced manufacturing costs.

  • Patent number: 5728242
Abstract: A tire (1) having sidewalls (3) with an annular strip (8) within which a plurality of ribs (9) is formed. The ribs are disposed in mutual side by side relation and circumferentially distributed. The annular strip (8) is made in the form of a hollow on a sidewall (3) of the tire (1) and is designed to display informative inscriptions (12) the characters of which (13) are defined by projections (19) projecting from the surface of the annular strip.

  • Patent number: 5614225
Abstract: A toroidal semifinished product (5) made of raw elastomeric material is semivulcanized in a semivulcanization chamber (4) defined between two half-molds (2, 3) disposed close to each other. A pressure, preferably equal to the pressure exerted by the gases generated in the semifinished product (5), is created in the mold (1a). The half-molds (2, 3) are moved apart from each other and pressure in the mold is gradually reduced, thereby giving rise to the expansion and consequent transferring of the semifinished product (5) from the semivulcanization chamber (4) to a surrounding final vulcanization chamber (6). When the inner diameter of the semifinished product (5) is larger than the inner diameter of the final vulcanization chamber (6), said chamber is closed at its inner circumferential edge and then, after possible pressure increase in the mold, at its outer circumferential edge, in order to integrally enclose the semifinished product and enable completion of the vulcanization process.

  • Patent number: 5596073
Abstract: The present invention relates to solutions which can be directly shaped in anhydrous dimethylalkyleneurea, based on a polyimide obtained from an aromatic dianhydride and an aromatic diisocyanate. It also relates to the process for the production of the above solutions, as well as to a process for spinning these solutions and to the yarns and fibres thus obtained.

  • Patent number: 5585819
Abstract: In a method and apparatus for detecting occurrence of aliasing in a digital oscilloscope and displaying an alarm on a display unit, when an input signal is applied to a trigger generator circuit, the trigger generator circuit generates a trigger pulse. An aliasing detection counter counts the number of the trigger pulses generated in the period of time between scan clock pulses generated from a timebase circuit and applies an aliasing detection signal to a CPU. The CPU displays on the display unit the message indicating occurrence of aliasing.

  • Patent number: 5579397
Abstract: A common-source type buffer amplifier circuit has a microphone capsule, a diode and an FET. An output end of the buffer amplifier circuit, or a drain of the FET is connected to an input end of the current mirror circuit. An output end of the current mirror circuit is connected to one end of a load resistor of which the other end is grounded. A voltage across the load resistor corresponds to an output of the amplifier and is supplied to the speaker amplifier.

  • Patent number: 5545969
Abstract: A system for displaying the residual capacity of a secondary battery so as to update the battery capacity when the battery discharges from its full charged condition to a predetermined voltage level, in which this predetermined voltage is selected to be sufficiently higher than the operation halting voltage of a portable electrical apparatus to be connected, and the quantity of electricity discharged until the predetermined voltage level is reached is suitably corrected to determine the newest battery capacity, so that the battery capacity can be accurately updated under the actual operating condition with a high frequency and high precision.
