  • Patent number: 6947959
Abstract: An application for managing digital assets regardless of type or format. The application allows assets to be check-in, either on an individual asset basis or on a group basis, and check-out. Information regarding assets is stored in a data-base to enable searching for the assets without searching the assets themselves. The user is provided features for organizing assets retrieved in accordance with supplied criteria and for performing actions on assets in a batch mode. Digital assets are retrieved from the storage servers by queries. The query results are displayed in a user-customizable Query Palette. User Views are provided to group references or icons representing selected assets to organize the references to the assets without affecting the organization of the assets themselves. Methods and processes are applied to optimize asset management across a distributed architecture by monitoring and balancing the load and usage of the server and the storage entities.

  • Patent number: 6601931
Abstract: An assembly is provided or supporting a flat monitor in adjacent but underlying relationship to a preferably window pane equipped, preferably rectangularly-configured aperture provided in a desk-type working platform. An aperture frame extends about perimeter portions of the aperture. A flat monitor support platform is located beneath but adjacent to the aperture. Joining components extend between and interconnect portions of the aperture frame with portions of the flat monitor support platform. A flat monitor is supportable by the platform with the platform generally suspended from the aperture frame with the aperture frame so positioned in the aperture. The flat monitor viewing screen with the flat monitor so supported is viewable through the aperture. The inclination of the flat monitor viewing screen is adjustable if desired. Various aperture frame structures, flat monitor support platforms, and joining components can be utilized.

  • Patent number: 6540372
Abstract: An electrical track lighting system. The track lighting system includes a flexible track that includes a foamed adhesive strip on the upper surface separating two conductor rails. The track is cut to length and secured to the desired surface by the adhesive strip. Light fixtures having spring clip members with electrical contact surfaces engage onto the upper surface conductor rails of the track. An elastomer body provides a resilient force to ensure the engagement of the spring clip members.

  • Patent number: 6398290
Abstract: A carrier system for transporting equipment, such as bicycles. The carrier of a preferred embodiment of the present invention includes a partial enclosed compartment having a substantially oval shape. Two opposing lid members are pivotally mounted on each end of the compartment. The two lid members open upward and outward to allow full access to the interior of the compartment. The two lid members then close downward and towards one another with a slight overlap to fully enclose the body to form the carrier body. In one embodiment, the axle assembly and tongue are directly mounted on the lower surface of the trailer body. Equipment mounting devices are formed or affixed directly in the interior of the trailer body. The equipment is thus able to be securely transported without danger from the elements or from unauthorized access.

  • Patent number: 6380129
Abstract: An enhanced material formed from a carrier material having a high porosity. The carrier material is treated with a mixture of hydrocarbons to increase the adherence of the carrier material particles to one another to minimize atmospheric contamination of the carrier materials in use. The material has particular applicable to environments where such contamination would create problems, such as food processing and preparation environments, computer operations, electronic component manufacturing and other environments. The material meets the requirements of FDA regulations for Indirect Food Contact.
