The memory array comprises a first set of strips including a first terminal; a second set of strips including a second terminal; a third set of strips including a third terminal; a first pillar having at least one side wall with a slightly positive slope, said pillar disposed between and connecting said first and second sets of strips, and including a first P doped silicon region, a first N doped silicon region and a first insulating region; a second pillar having at least one side wall with a slightly positive slope, said pillar disposed between and connecting said second and third sets of strips, and including a second P doped silicon region, a second N doped silicon region and a second insulating region; wherein each of the pillars is substantially free of stringers.

Abstract: A methodology and apparatus for measurement and identification of co-channel interferers in a GSM cellular wireless communication network is provided as part of a network survey (e.g., drive test). Repetitive time-of-arrival measurements of detected FCCH bursts on a given frequency channel are made in conjunction with power level and C/I ratio measurements of such FCCH bursts. Successful FCCH burst detection triggers SCH detection/decoding and successful SCH decoding triggers BCCH detection/decoding. Successfully decoded SCH BSIC data and possibly BCCH CellId data is associated with the corresponding FCCH burst information based on their time-of-arrival. This association is possible even with the FCCH bursts for which SCH and BCCH decoding was not successful due to the interference or some other impairment. It is sufficient to successfully decode SCH/BCCH only once per cell during the network survey in order for all detected FCCH bursts coming from this cell to be properly assigned to it.

Abstract: The invention relates to a method for connecting two bodies according to which a connection means is arranged between connection surfaces of the bodies to be connected. The connection surfaces and the interlying connection means are held adjacent to each other. At least one of the bodies is mechanically stimulated in order to produce friction and frictional heat. The connection means contains at least one cross-linkable polymer or polymerisable and cross-linkable resin which is converted into a thermoplastic material by means of the frictional heat produced, rendering the connection means and the composite of the two bodies considerably more heat-resistant.

Abstract: A process for producing a single-crystal semiconductor and an apparatus therefor. A single-crystal semiconductor of large diameter and large weight can be lifted with the use of existing equipment not having any substantial change thereto while not influencing the oxygen concentration of single-crystal semiconductor and the temperature of melt and while not unduly raising the temperature of seed crystal. In particular, the relationship (L1, L2, L3) between the allowable temperature difference (?T) and the diameter (D) of seed crystal (14) is preset so that the temperature difference between the seed crystal (14) at the time the seed crystal (14) is immersed in the melt and the melt (5) falls within the allowable temperature difference (?T) at which dislocations are not introduced into the seed crystal (14). In accordance with the relationship (L1, L2, L3), the allowable temperature difference (?T) corresponding to the diameter (D) of seed crystal (14) to be immersed in the melt is determined.

Abstract: A method for optimizing a workload of an agent of the transaction processing system is disclosed, where the agent handles inbound and outbound calls and the calls are based on voice-dialog communication and/or text-dialog communication. The method includes obtaining historical data from a database based on a category of a current call handled by the agent, where the historical data provides an indication of an expected duration of the call. The method also includes determining a predicted end time of the current call. If an inbound call is pending, the inbound call is routed to the agent after the current call terminates. If an inbound call is not pending, then an outbound call number is obtained from a list of outbound call numbers to be placed, the outbound call is placed a determined amount of time prior to the predicted end time of the current call, and the outbound call is routed to the agent.

Abstract: Plants, particularly sugar cane plants, are reproduced using explant material which may be derived from leaves, shoots, roots and other plant parts. Somatic embryos are produced by culturing immature embryos from the explant material and then culturing mature, somatic embryos from the immature embryos. All achieved in liquid suspension culture, which allows micro propagation of sugar cane without the culture suffering, browning at any stage. The mature embryos can then be encapsulated to form artificial seeds for germination purposes.

Abstract: An autostereoscopic projection screen with projection displays a stereoscopic image for receiving parallax images of right eye and left eye. The autostereoscopic projection screen includes a polarization-reserved diffuser, a microretarder, a polarizer, and a parallax element. Parallax images of right eye and left eye pass through the polarization-reserved diffuser and the microretarder for transferring their polarization states. Parallax images of right eye and left eye with specific polarization states will pass the polarizer and parallax element for dividing images of right eye and left eye from parallax images. The individual images separately enter viewing zones of right eye and left eye to generate the stereoscopic-image for viewers.

The inner surface (18) of the chamber is formed by a first moulding (12) of a rigid, non-absorbent material and a second moulding (20) of resilient material. The second moulding forms the rim (22) for providing a gas-tight seal between the adapter (10) and the detector (32).
