By controlling the timing of a scan by a beam scan portion in response to the characteristic of a laser light source and by setting a light emitting time of the laser light source to an integral multiple of a scan cycle of the beam scan portion, it is possible to illuminate a spatial light modulator homogeneously with a laser beam. It is thus possible to display an image at high accuracy without causing a bright line, irregularities in brightness, and contrast deterioration.

    Abstract: Male terminals are respectively provided in terminal attachment portions formed on a flange unit. Female terminals and grommets are provided for a harness. The terminal attachment portions are arranged alternately in two rows so that a line segment obtained by connecting the respective centers of openings of the terminal attachment portions is a polygonal line. The openings are arranged to form the Olympic symbol. At a fore-end of each of the terminal attachment portions, slits are provided. Owing to the slits, the opening is likely to be enlarged when the rubber grommet is inserted therethrough. As a result, the placement of the rubber grommet is facilitated.

By providing the power conversion apparatus with a capability of directing back, to a load (motor), any power coming therefrom, the conversion apparatus requires no direct-current link capacitor and a diode clamping circuit.

When the motor 38 causes a sun gear (input member) to rotate such that the piston 12 moves in a return direction, a rotation of the internal gear 46 according to the rotation of the sun gear 44 releases rotation prevention of the rotation preventing mechanism 34A to the carrier 41. It is possible to release the parking brake without use of a worm gear which is used in the conventional arts for holding a thrust force (self-holding). As a result, it is possible to quickly release the parking brake, and therefore a driver can start to run without delay after parking brake release, whereby the responsiveness is improved.
