Abstract: A laser machining apparatus is capable of improving workpiece machining precision. The laser machining apparatus has a movable table for supporting a workpiece to be machined, and a camera for detecting the position of the workpiece by reflection light from an alignment mark formed through the workpiece. The apparatus also includes a jig plate provided between the table and the workpiece, and has light-receiving holes that overlap with the alignment mark (through-hole) and that are larger than the alignment mark (through hole).

Abstract: In order to promote solubilization or suspension of 4-oxo-8-[4-(4-phenylbutoxy)benzoylamino]-2-(tetrazol-5-yl)-4H-1-benzopyran or its hydrate (pranlukast) in water, at least one component selected from surfactants, water-soluble cellulose derivatives and water-soluble vinyl polymers is formulated together with pranlukast. Thus, it is possible to provide an aqueous liquid pharmaceutical composition containing higher concentration of pranlukast and having good properties.

Abstract: The present invention provides a process for producing DHA (docosahexaenoic acid)-containing tofu or soybean milk drink, or a dry powder thereof which does not influence taste even if a DHA-containing fish oil is incorporated at a high concentration, which is stable and of which starting materials are inexpensive. A DHA-containing fish oil emulsion is prepared by mixing soybean milk with a DHA-containing fish oil at a weight ratio of 1:0.2 to 1, and stirring the mixture. Then, soybean milk drink can be produced by further diluting this emulsion with soybean milk to give a predetermined DHA concentration. Still further, DHA-containing tofu can be produced by coagulating the soybean milk containing this emulsion with the addition of a coagulant. Since the same soybean milk as the starting material of tofu or soybean milk drink is used as an emulsifying agent, such a product is obtained that even if DHA is contained at a high concentration, this does not influence a taste or properties of the product.

Abstract: An electric shaver is provided with arched outer blades and outer blades with slit ports opened with several transversely extended parallel slits. Both outer blades are rubbed by the inner blades along their inner faces to cut a beard. Two rows of outer blades with slit ports are mounted on both sides of the arched outer blades. The outer blades with slit ports comprise rectangular parallel blades with the upper faces not exactly planar but almost planar, parallel slits open in the upper face of the rectangular parallel blades and extend from the corner of the external side to the vertical part of the external side.

Abstract: One of the objects of the present invention is to offer novolak type phenolic resins which use phenols and aldehydes as raw materials and give narrow molecular weight distributions.The novolak type phenolic resins of the present invention are those obtained by condensation reaction of phenols with aldehydes in the presence of an oxycarboxylic acid having carboxyl groups, --COOH, and alcoholic hydroxyl groups, --OH, in one molecule. Thus, obtained novolak type phenolic resins show narrow molecular weight distributions, lower viscosity in molten state and, as a consequence, uniformity in curing time.
