Abstract: A rotation stabilizing device in a microgravitational rotating apparatus has vibration suppressed and rotation stabilized. Recess portions 10a, 10b are provided on a casing 10 so that bearings 14, 15 are arranged therein for supporting a rotary shaft 30. Experimental boxes 17a to 17h fixed to arms 16a to 16h rotate together with the rotary shaft 30. A fin 33 is fixed to outer circumferential surfaces of the experimental boxes 17a to 17h projecting outwardly therefrom. Pairs of electromagnetic coils 31a, 31b, in which the fin 33 is interposed with a predetermined gap maintained therebetween, and gap sensors 32 close thereto, are fitted on the casing 10 side. Displacement of the fin 33 is detected by the gap sensors 32 to be inputted into a control unit to thereby control excitation current of the electromagnetic coils 31a, 31b. The gap is brought into a position within a demand value and rotation is stabilized.

  • Patent number: 7028637
Abstract: A discharged-waste processing material for pet animals is formed from a waste material of double sided water resistant paper as a raw material. A chief material of the discharged-waste processing material is crushed paper pieces obtained by finely crushing the double sided water resistant paper having laminate layers on both sides. A granular body is formed of an aggregate of the crushed paper pieces and has voids formed between the laminate layers of adjacent crushed paper pieces for guiding discharged urine into a core part of the granular body. The granular body has a water retaining structure in which the discharged urine is absorbed into a paper layer between the laminate layers through a sheared surface of each crushed paper piece, and the absorbed urine is cut off by the laminate layers so that the urine is retained in the paper layers.

  • Patent number: 7029217
Abstract: A fastening structure capable of preventing deterioration in the flatness of a surface of a flange portion (2) when a serration (7) of a bolt (5) is press-fit into the flange portion (2). In this fastening structure, one portion in an axial direction of an outer peripheral surface (6) of the bolt (5) is provided with the serration (7). The bolt (5) is press-fit into a bolthole (3) formed through the flange portion (2) of a mounting member (1). The serration (7) is located apart from respective end surfaces (2A) and (2B) of the flange portion (2) by first and second distances (D, C), and the first and second distances (D, C) each exceed 13% of the thickness (A) of the flange portion (2). With this arrangement, the serration (7) presses a bolthole inner peripheral surface (13) only in the region located far apart from both of the end surfaces (2A and 2B) of the flange portion (2).

  • Patent number: 7026601
Abstract: For a carrier wave carrying a microwave from an MW sensor 1, pulse intervals are varied between when the MW sensor 1 generates an alert and when the MW sensor 1 does not generate an alert. When checking a sensing area, an operator carries a receiver being able to receive a transmitted wave from the MW sensor 1, walks around an area thought to be the sensing area and checks a monitor screen of the receiver. In this way, the sensing area can be checked at hand by the operator.

  • Patent number: 7024886
Abstract: The hook 5, as shown in FIG. 3, FIG. 4 and FIG. 5, serves to latch between the pearls 2 at an optional position in the above-defined predetermined section of the necklace 1. Referring to FIG. 3 and FIG. 5, the hook 5 has an open end 51 whose opening is smaller than the outer diameter of the spacers 4. Opposite to the open end 51 and at an innermost area of the hook 5, the hook 5 also has a spacer fitting area 52 which is defined by a curve that matches an external circumference of the spacers 4. Specifically, as shown in FIG. 5 a width dimension of the spacer fitting area 52 is substantially equal to a width dimension of the spacer. The hook 5 has a smooth surface and such a thickness as to be comfortably inserted between the pearls 2. Thus, the hook 5 avoids damaging the pearls 2.

  • Patent number: 7027711
Abstract: A VOB composed of a plurality of VOBUs and Cell information are recorded on an optical disk. Each VOBU includes a plurality of sets of picture data, and the Cell information specifies a reproduction section (Cell). According to a user indication, picture data corresponding to an IN point of a delete section and picture data corresponding to an OUT point of the delete section are specified in the Cell. If the number (j?i?1) of VOBUs present between the ith VOBU including the former picture data and the jth VOBU including the latter picture data is smaller than a predetermined number u, a warning of a data size increase is displayed. If j?i?1 is greater than u, the Cell information is rewritten so that the parts of the Cell preceding and succeeding the delete section become two consecutive Cells, and the (i+s+1)th to (j?t?1)th VOBUs are deleted from the optical disk.

  • Patent number: 7027030
Abstract: A magnetic display has two non-magnetic substrates, at least one of which is transparent; and a microcapsule coating layer is applied between the non-magnetic substrates. The microcapsules contain and seal light-absorptive black magnetic fine particles and light-reflective non-magnetic fine particles dispersed in an oily dispersion liquid. An array layer is buried in a capsule wall of each of the microcapsules for enclosing the oily dispersion liquid that contains the light-absorptive black magnetic fine particles and light-reflective non-magnetic fine particles. The array layer includes flake-shaped particles with a multi-layered structure for converting the black color of a character or image formed on a display surface, which is a color inherently exhibited by the light-absorptive black magnetic fine particles, into a variety of interference colors.

  • Patent number: 7027286
Abstract: A metallized-film capacitor includes a slit (5a) at approx. center of the width (W) of an effective electrode which actually forms a capacitance of a pair of deposited electrodes (110, 210). Divisional electrodes (2a, 2b) exist at a place between the center and insulation margins (4a, 4b), and the electrodes (2a, 2b) are coupled in parallel to each other by fuses (7a, 7b) disposed away from metallized contacts (6a, 6b). Such a structure as placing fuses (7a, 7b) away from the contacts (6a, 6b) allows reducing a current supplied from the contacts (6a, 6b) and running through fuses (7a, 7b), thereby lowering heat generated from fuses (7a, 7b). As a result, a temperature rise in the metallized-film capacitor can be suppressed.

  • Patent number: 7026788
    Abstract: The present provides a leakage detection circuit for an electric vehicle, and so on, capable of calculating a leakage resistance. The leakage detection circuit for an electric vehicle detects a current Ig11(t1) that flows in leakage resistances Ra and Rb when one leakage detection switch SW1 is closed at t1 and the other leakage detection switch SW2 is opened, and detects a current Ig12(t2) when the switch SW1 is opened at t2 and the switch SW2 is closed. In addition, the circuit detects voltages Vl11(t1, t2) and Vl12(t1, t2) of portions where these leakage detection resistances Ra are connected. A combined value Rl of the leakage resistances is calculated by a leakage calculator based on the following equation 34 R l = R a V l12 ? ( t 2 ) V g11 ? ( t 2 ) - V g12 ? ( t 2 ) - V l11 ? ( t 1 ) V g11 ? ( t 1 ) - V g12 ? ( t 1 ) - ( R a + R b ) .
