Patent number: 7563066Abstract: An improved front loading or side loading refuse collection body includes an ejector panel which is moveable from a position immediately adjacent the front end wall of the storage compartment of the refuse collection body to a second position at the open rear end of the storage compartment. A compaction blade in a compaction chamber adjacent the front end of the storage compartment is independently driven by a second hydraulic ram. The ejector panel has an opening which is in registry with the opening in the front wall of the storage compartment through which refuse is pushed by the compaction blade. A tray member may be fixed to a side of the ejector panel to catch refuse which falls back through the opening in the ejector panel when it is moved away from the front end of the storage compartment. A multiple compartment body may include two compaction chambers each adjacent one of two storage compartments.Type: GrantFiled: November 5, 2004Date of Patent: July 21, 2009Assignee: Kann Manufacturing CorporationInventors: Robert D. Patent number: 7527176Abstract: A portable grease gun with the capability of being attached to either a grease containing barrel or a hose carrying grease from a grease supply container. An adapter may be mounted to the barrel mounting in place of a barrel to couple the grease gun to a hose connected to a grease supply container remote from the grease gun. Alternating plug may be mounted in the barrel mounting and a pumped grease supply coupled to the resupply port on the grease gun. The grease gun includes an output valve which restrains passage of grease at pressure below 30 psi.Type: GrantFiled: October 23, 2006Date of Patent: May 5, 2009Assignee: Weems Industries Inc.Inventors: R. Patent number: 7499155Abstract: A local positioning navigation system and method for controlling navigation are provided. The local positioning navigation includes a stationary unit having a pointing device configured to emit a light signal and a roving unit having a detector including a plurality of light detecting elements configured to detect the emitted light signal from the stationary unit. The local positioning system further includes a controller configured to receive navigation information from the roving unit based on the detected emitted light signal and to provide control commands to the stationary unit to move the pointing device to direct the emitted light signal based on the navigation information.Type: GrantFiled: August 23, 2006Date of Patent: March 3, 2009Inventor: Bryan Cappelletti

Patent number: 7337927Abstract: A portable grease gun with a dual pressure output capability which can be selectively changed by the user with little effort. A larger diameter plunger is longitudinally coupled to an extension. The larger diameter plunger and its extension are variable in length by manual rotation of the extension relative to the larger diameter plunger. The larger diameter plunger is slidable within a plunger retainer over a limited range and is not free to rotate within the plunger retainer. The larger diameter plunger and the plunger extension have aligned bores through them in which a smaller diameter plunger is slidable. The smaller diameter plunger moves when an actuating lever is operated to compress grease in the grease gun. The larger diameter plunger may be adjusted to remain static during operation of the actuating lever or it may be adjusted to move during all or part of the compression stroke of the actuating lever.Type: GrantFiled: April 14, 2005Date of Patent: March 4, 2008Assignee: Weems Industries, Inc.Inventors: Don R. Linkletter, R. Mark Weems

Patent number: 7316286Abstract: A light weight portable pressure washer with improved vibration damping includes a plate member disposed between the engine and the supporting frame of the pressure washer. The plate member is mounted to the base of the engine and extends laterally beyond the base of the engine and is supported on the frame of the pressure washer by multiple elastomeric vibration isolators. The plate member and the frame may be constructed of stainless steel or of aluminum, and the frame components may be joined without welding.Type: GrantFiled: August 17, 2004Date of Patent: January 8, 2008Assignee: Mi-T-M CorporationInventor: Gregory J. Patent number: 7281720Abstract: A drum dolly on which an upright drum may be placed. A C-shaped frame is supported on side members which are each supported on front and rear casters. The frame includes a support ledge to receive the rim of the drum. The underside of the support ledge is positioned slightly above the floor. The bottom of a drum to be transported is moved onto the frame through its open side while the drum is tipped slightly.Type: GrantFiled: May 16, 2006Date of Patent: October 16, 2007Inventor: Robert M. Patent number: 7261129Abstract: A machine for compactly loading an elongate polymer storage bag includes a chamber through which one or more rams reciprocate in a generally horizontal direction, forcing bulk material such as compost, distillers grains, silage, or feedstuffs from the chamber into a frame that carries the gathered sidewall of the storage bag. The frame has a curved upper surface and an open bottom. The bag filling machine is supported on wheels and is forced gradually forward as the bag fills, against the restraint of an adjustable brake. A loading elevator mounted to the side of the bag loading machine feeds the bulk material into the chamber.Type: GrantFiled: April 18, 2006Date of Patent: August 28, 2007Inventor: Michael J. Koelker

Patent number: 7243630Abstract: A foot controlled engine start and stop system characterized by a control circuit arranged among an ignition switch, an ignition grounding circuit, a warm-up switch, a starter motor, an accelerator pedal, an alternator and an actuator to disengage the parking brake when the engine is started. The system controls automatic start and stop of the starter motor and engine by feeding back the output frequency of the alternator. When installed on an off-road utility vehicle, this system, will allow the operator to conveniently start and stop the engine by depressing or releasing the accelerator pedal. The system senses the engine speed by monitoring the frequency of the alternator output voltage and disables the starter circuit when the engine speed is at or above a level necessary to allow the engine to run without starter assistance. When the operator removes his/her foot from the accelerator pedal, the ignition circuit is grounded to stop the engine.Type: GrantFiled: October 25, 2004Date of Patent: July 17, 2007Assignee: BZ Products, Inc.Inventors: Thomas C. Boe, Terry L. Zwart, David W. Gift, Thomas E. Boe, Dennis R. LaRoque, Larry A. Prohaska

Patent number: 7231900Abstract: A normally closed ignition grounding switch mounted on the engine operates in concert with the fuel valve such that in order to “kill” the engine, the fuel valve must be moved from its open position. In one embodiment, a normally closed push button switch is mounted on the engine shroud in a position such that it is aligned with the sliding fuel valve lever so that the switch is released only when the fuel valve is moved toward its closed position. In an alternative embodiment, a normally open push button switch is mounted to the engine shroud aligned with the lever of the fuel valve such that closing the fuel valve depresses the push button switch.Type: GrantFiled: December 24, 2005Date of Patent: June 19, 2007Inventor: Michael S. Hanshaw

Patent number: 7144202Abstract: A machine to install the lower edge of silt fence fabric in a seam in the soil includes a frame with a plow member attached. The frame can be mounted to the three point hitch of a tractor so that the machine can be raised, lowered, and tilted while being supported by the tractor. Silt fence fabric from a roll carried on a rod on the machine is fed into a chute formed by two parallel plates of the plow member. The fabric is drawn out the front of the plow member and drawn along the side of the plow member by friction with the soil through which the plow member is drawn.Type: GrantFiled: November 3, 2005Date of Patent: December 5, 2006Inventor: Christopher D. McCormick
