Abstract: The present invention concerns a packaging unit (1) for several pipe sections (2) of mineral wool with a packaging material (5), which surrounds the several pipe sections (2) to form the packaging unit (1), with the packaging material (5) arranged around the pipe sections (2) under pressure, the pipe sections (2) are folded within the packaging unit (1) with reduction of the pipe section cavity, and the pipe sections (2) are formed elastically such that, in the folded state, recovery forces for restoring the unfolded initial shape are built up. By means of the packaging unit (1) of the invention, several pipe sections (2) can be transported and stored very economically. In this connection, pipe sections (2) are not restricted in their functionality, but, after removal from packaging unit (1), may be used directly and without restriction, e.g., to insulate chimneys.

Abstract: A footwear construction including an upper, a midsole including a midsole flange, and an outsole shell including an outsole flange. The flanges can project outwardly, away from the upper in the forefoot portion. The flanges can be joined with a direct attach bond and a lock stitch. The flanges can each terminate short of the heel portion. The lock stitch can terminate short of the heel portion, and can be visible above and below the joined flanges. The midsole can include a fully exposed and viewable portion in the heel portion of the footwear. The midsole can include a heel cup integrally formed with the midsole flange. A method for constructing the footwear includes direct attaching a midsole to an upper and an outsole including an outsole flange. The midsole can form with a midsole flange, and the midsole flange and outsole flange can be stitched together with a lock stitch.

Abstract: A protective glove for protecting a wearer's hand includes a thumb pocket and an index finger pocket. The glove is designed to receive the wearer's thumb in the thumb pocket and the wearer's index finger in the index finger pocket while leaving the user's other fingers exposed. The thumb pocket and the index finger pocket are attached to an adjustable wrist strap. Further, the thumb pocket and the index finger pocket are attached to each other.

Abstract: A lacrosse head frame includes a first frame portion comprising a top portion and two side walls, and a second frame portion, at least a portion of the second frame portion is moveable relative to the first frame. A lacrosse head frame includes a first frame portion comprising a proximal end, and a second frame portion having a distal end and a proximal end, wherein the distal end extends from, or is connected to, the first frame, and a spring, wherein the proximal end of the second frame is coupled to the proximal end of the first frame via the spring.

Abstract: A vehicle step tube comprising a one-piece elongated extrusion having a plurality of vertical ribs extending from the upper surface. The ribs are relatively short in a step portion of the extrusion to form a step platform. The ribs are relatively tall in the non-step portions flanking the step portion. The ribs define transverse recesses in the step portion to enhance traction and aesthetics.
