Abstract: The present disclosure pertains to a process for preparing an oxime in which a carbonyl compound is reacted in the liquid phase with NH3 and H2O2 in the presence of a catalyst to form the corresponding oxime, wherein the catalyst comprises a catalytic component selected from the oxides of metals of group 5 and group 6. The use of a niobia catalyst is particularly preferred. The process according to the disclosure is suitable for the manufacture of numerous oximes, in particular cyclohexanone oxime.
Abstract: Multimodal interaction with grammar-based speech applications may be facilitated with a device by presenting permissible phrases that are in-grammar based on acceptable terms that are in-vocabulary and that have been recognized from a spoken utterance. In an example embodiment, a spoken utterance having two or more terms is received. The two or more terms include one or more acceptable terms. An index is searched using the acceptable terms as query terms. From the searching of the index, permissible phrase(s) are produced that include the acceptable terms. The index is a searchable data structure that represents multiple possible grammar paths that are ascertainable based on acceptable values for each term position of a grammar-based speech application. The permissible phrase(s) are presented to a user as option(s) that may be selected to conduct multimodal interaction with the device.
Abstract: A gaming method includes repetitive plays simulating rolls of virtual dice by a player and at least one of a bonus feature and a progressive feature. A gaming method includes scoring dice.
Abstract: A flexible axle for motor vehicle has a cross-member (1) connecting two longitudinal arms (2), wherein said cross-member (1) has a closed cross-section, and said cross-member has, at least in a central zone, a substantially trapezoid cross-section (11).

Abstract: An all wheel drive motorcycle includes an internal combustion engine having an output shaft extending from the engine. A back wheel drive train is coupled to the output shaft with either a first chain or a first shaft. The first chain or the first shaft couples to a rear wheel drive sprocket or a rear wheel drive gear that couples to the first chain or first shaft, respectively. The motorcycle includes a front wheel drive train that extends from the output shaft to a universal joint that is positioned on the motorcycle within a range of about plus or minus ten degrees of perpendicular to the steering axis of rotation of the front fork where the front fork supports and retains the front wheel. The universal joint and the output shaft are coupled together with either a second drive chain or a second drive shaft.
Abstract: Disclosed is a unitary sheet-like merchandise labeling article that has a labeling tag flatly conjoined along a unifying flat bond zone with a flexible elastic layer that extends away from the tag and includes an elastic fastening loop. The loop sides that define the loop are wider than the thickness of the elastic layer. Further, the flexible elastic layer that extends away from the tag has a thickness greater than the thickness of the tag and has a dispersion zone adjacent the unifying flat bond zone. The dispersion zone allows dissipation of elastic loop in-line stretching forces sufficiently to reduce transmission of such forces into the bond zone.

Abstract: Parameters for distributions of a hidden trajectory model including means and variances are estimated using an acoustic likelihood function for observation vectors as an objection function for optimization. The estimation includes only acoustic data and not any intermediate estimate on hidden dynamic variables. Gradient ascent methods can be developed for optimizing the acoustic likelihood function.

Abstract: The present invention is a container comprising a bottom wall having an outer surface and an inner surface, a sidewall extending from the bottom wall, and a handle. The sidewall has a top section and a bottom section, a front section and a rear section, and an outer surface and an inner surface. The inner surface of the sidewall comprises a base portion extending from the inner surface of the bottom wall and a ramp portion extending at an acute angle from the base portion at the front section of the sidewall. The handle is connected to the outer surface of the sidewall adjacent both the top section and the rear section of the sidewall.
Abstract: The disclosure relates to a linear series (110) of connected unitary sheet-like merchandise labeling articles (10), each of which comprises a labeling tag (12) flatly cojoined along a unifying flat bond zone (14) with a flexible elastic layer (16) that extends away from the tag (12) and includes an elastic fastening loop (20). Adjacent labeling articles (10) of the series (110) are ruptureably connected in a manner permitting the series (110) to be handled as a unit while at the same time permitting ruptureable separation of individual merchandise labeling articles (10) from the series (110). In one embodiment, the linear series (110) is wound into roll form (210).
