Abstract: An olefine polymer composition comprises a stabilizing amount of a metal deactivator comprising a polymeric hydrazine derivative. The deactivator is of formula (I), in which at least one of R1 and R2 comprise a polymeric radical that includes a substituted or unsubstituted aromatic radical, provided that R1 and R2 are not both of formula (II). The olefin polymers include polyethylene and polypropylene.

Abstract: A process is presented for the preparation of a latex by the emulsion polymerization at a temperature of between 30 and 90 C. of at least one ethylenically unsaturated monomer in the presence of at least one surfactant and of a seed of polymer particles with a diameter of between 200 and 450 nm. The seed particles represent from 5-25% by weight of the total weight of the monomer and seed. The polymerization is initiated by a mixed water-soluble/fat-soluble system. Also included are lattices obtained from this process.
Abstract: A method and system for partial scan testing of integrated circuits is disclosed. The invention includes determining at least one failed functional block during testing of the integrated circuit. The failed functional block is then logically isolated from the remaining non-failing functional blocks. Scan testing of the remainder of the non-failing functional blocks then occurs to determine the integrity of the remainder of the integrated circuit. The data coming out of the failing functional block is not allowed into the other functional blocks as input data. The invention allows the integrated circuit to be used and sold at a reduced functionality for applications not requiring the failed functional block(s).
Abstract: Ethylene-based polymer blends having an MWD of at least about 2 are made in a single reactor using a mixed constrained geometry catalyst (CGC) system. The process comprises the steps of contacting under polymerization conditions and in a single reaction vessel (i) ethylene, (ii) at least one C3-C20 (&agr;-olefin, (iii) optionally, at least one polyene, and (iv) a mixed CGC system.
