Abstract: In an electric welding apparatus for automatically welding heating coil fittings substantially of plastic material a scanner (3) for scanning fitting data is connected via a converter to a first input of a controller (8) which via a power station (13) controls, for a welding period, the welding power output. In order to reach an optimal welding factor of the welding the scanner (3) and the converter (4) are provided for scanning naominal welding energy data of said fitting (1). At least a second input (at 12) of the controller (8) is connected to circuits (calculator 11) which generate signals of the actual welding energy from welding power output data as well as from the actual welding period.
Abstract: Apparatus and an associated method for determining the deviation of the distance between two points on a first object and the distance between two points on a second object. The apparatus and associated method are useful when measuring dimensions of short turn bores and O-ring grooves.
Abstract: Apparatus for the opto-electronic control of a flame cutting machine having photoelectric sensors of different spectral sensitivity. The sensors may be positioned within a cutting torch and directed during operation on a flame and a workpiece to be cut. The sensors are connected at their outputs with computing means to generate control signals for the advancing movement of the cutting torch relative to the workpiece. In order to reduce the impact of disturbing variables on the control signals, an electronic means for generating the quotient of the sensor output signals is connected with the outputs of at least two of said sensors. The quotient of the output magnitude of the sensors is used to control the flame cutting machine.
Abstract: A metal fence (20) is constructed by a fence system with components including clips (26), fence posts (22) allowing rails (24) to engage with the posts and caps (21) to cover the seam between the rails. A solid wall fence (50) can be constructed using fasteners (228, 62), posts (58) and rails (32, 52, 54, 56, 60). Rails (32, 52, 54, 56, 60) slide along a channel (36) to form an interlocking seam (34).

Abstract: A device for frightening noxious animals by means of ultrasonic signals which includes an electro-acoustic transducer, having elements for electronic oscillation generation controlled by a freely programmable micro computer. The micro computer and the elements for the electronic oscillation generation are so designed that time-varying acoustic signals are randomly generated.
Abstract: A member having the general shape of a person's foot includes a thickened outer forward portion. The member is adapted to be inserted into the person's shoe for elevating the outer forward portion only of one foot of the person while swinging an object such as a golf club, ball bat or ax.
Abstract: In a photoelectric apparatus for tracing a scanning head (8) along a pattern track (13), a constant arrangement (17) of tightly spaced light-sensitive elements (16) is provided in the scanning head forming together with an addressing device (25) scanning patterns (14) which can be sampled. On the arrangement of the light-sensitive elements, a section of a pattern plane for scanning including an essential transversal component of the scanning pattern is imaged. From illumination state signals of the sampled light-sensitive elements, control signals are generated by means of an evaluation device (28, 31, 32), controlling the tracing movement of the scanning head in two movement directions (4, 5) rectangularly oriented relative to each other.
