Abstract: A seismic cable restraint clip attaches a seismic brace component, such as a cable, to a building structure. A bolt is typically used to attach the clip to the building structure. The restraint clip is constructed to reduce or eliminate multiplication of force applied from the cable to the bolt through the restraint clip.
Abstract: A preformed hanger rod stiffening clip that improves the strength and stability of hanger rods to withstand compression forces. Precisely positioned screw holes enable the clamping legs of the clip to close completely when the fastening assembly is tightened. Washers on each side of the respective clamping legs deform the legs tightly around the stiffening member and the hanger rod which is disposed between the stiffening member and fastening assembly. It has been found that hole placement for a screw that is used to tighten the apparatus onto the hanger rod and stiffening member is critical. Misalignment of position of the screw openings greater than or equal to 0.001 inches results in a clip that will fail standard AISC compression tests.
Abstract: A trailer that can be lowered to the floor or ground for loading, and after the trailer is loaded, it can be elevated to a height appropriate for transportation. Six elements are required for the taller to operate: a chassis, two axles (torsion bars), four pivoting arms, four hubs with wheels, two hydraulic cylinders, and a manually operated hydraulic or electric pump.
Abstract: A dissolved oxygen releasing blend is disclosed utilizing magnesium peroxide blended with powdered Bentonite and/or vegetable oil. The Bentonite (or other clay material) reduces the hydraulic conductivity of magnesium peroxide, thereby reducing the rate of magnesium peroxide disassociation.

Abstract: A multi-hull speedboat hull design suitable for racing craft. The apparatus is a polygonal boat hull apparatus having a bow and stern wave penetrating feature. The bow has an additional triangular section to add strength and wave penetration capability. The hull is made from triangular-shaped essentially flat panels which provides for substantially stability and strength. The invention includes a drive pod system having a plurality of propulsion units. Each engine has a pair of hydro pneumatic cylinders that adjust the angle of attack of the propulsion unit. Each engine also has a pair of synchronized rudders. A top deck mounted aircraft-type of “tail assembly” having a rudder, elevators and/or ailerons assist in maneuvering the craft.
Abstract: An aviation vision apparatus. Its purpose assists a pilot's ability to fly an aircraft by providing increased visibility. The apparatus features an uncooled IR sensor for vision enhancement. An integrated window assembly is provided which permits the sensor to obtain its imagery. The apparatus also has an integrated aerodynamic enclosure. The apparatus features electronics responsible for window assembly window control functions and IR sensor control. The apparatus is a single line replaceable unit that receives control commands from the aircraft's head-down display or other control modules. The unit also provides for the video display.

Abstract: An electrical connector for use in an area subject to fluids such as gasoline or water. Typically, the connector would be used in a fuel injector to an electronic control module found in automotive and recreational motors. Once the wires have been stripped, they are then fused to a centering section to provide a common joint. The centering section is provided with a encapsulating mold centering section featuring two opposing alignment bosses and two sections of four circumferential centering tips. Finally, a second molding process is applied. The tips and the bosses re-melt or re-flow during the second encapsulation process to provide for a centered assembly that prevents fuel or water leaking from one wire to the next through the connection.
Abstract: The invention is an outdoor electrical cord connection protector. A pair of mated covers is at least partially hinged along a common access. Each mated cover provides a snap together wire entrance at one end and a wire exit at the other end of the snap together covers. Each wire entrance and wire exit opens to a snap together plug opening adapted to hold at least two mated plugs of an outdoor string of decorative lights. A seal can be affixed to each of the entrances of the protector. The seals help keep the protector water tight and well as protect against other environmental hazards such as dirt, bugs, etc.
Abstract: A luggage rack and removable block with anti-theft lock for two-wheeled vehicles. The main body has two rigid material rods descending at two consecutive angles and with opposite openings of about 45° each, towards the back of the vehicle over the back wheel, at the upper and distal ends of the back wheel. Two washers are provided as appropriate fixing elements and the back ends are connected to a rigid material rectangular body which in turn provides the necessary supporting elements for saddlebags with a rigid material tubular handle and for a rectangular bag to be located on top of the arrangement. On both sides of the rigid rectangular body, two V-shaped rigid rods are provided with two rigid washers which serve as fastening elements that are connected to the axle of the back wheel of the vehicle.
Abstract: A testing apparatus for determining the enhanced vision capabilities of a system that is designed to assist a pilot in detecting lights and ground features in night and low visibility conditions. One embodiment of the apparatus is suitable for laboratory or production facilities, the other embodiment is used for the flight line by installing it in the aircraft. A simulated pattern is presented by the apparatus wherein the enhanced vision system (EVS) can be calibrated. Further, fog can also be simulated over the spectral band of the EVS. Runway landing lights are also able to be simulated using a readily available light source.
Abstract: A readout apparatus that can be carried in the shirt pocket of a technician. The readout apparatus is used to easily and quickly make a connection to a heating system via a data access port of the heating controls, especially in low light situations, without the need for cables or probes. A display enables a technician to determine information concerning the operational characteristics of the heating system control unit to obtain information concerning the operational characteristics of the heating system. Real time operational information concerning the operation of the heating system via its control unit such as well temperature, cad cell, and line voltage are provided. The apparatus is powered from the electrical power available at the data access port so that the apparatus does not require the use of batteries or need any external switching such as an on/off button.
Abstract: A liquid level sensor for conductive liquids having a virtual bias ring to prevent false “full” indications. The sensor is an inexpensive conductive probe that can be installed in any tank or container used to contain a conductive liquid. The build up of residue such as conductive fluid that fails to drain on the inside of the container wall and probe pieces can cause a short between the probe and ground. This situation will result in falsely showing that the level of the liquid being measured is at least at the minimum predetermined requirement even though the actual level may be far less than that amount. The bias ring is a virtual “ring” that is provided around the insulating base of the sensing probe between the probe tip and the top inside of the tank. The probe is then given a charge (positive for negative ground systems) which interrupts the current path between the sensing tip of the probe and ground via the conducting residue.
Abstract: A liquid level sensor for standard bottles containing highly viscous materials such as gels so that the bottles may be inserted into an appliance to alert a user when the bottle is empty. The holder conveniently locates the bottle in the holder which includes insert molded contacts, wire harness and seal piercing mechanism. The bottle holder will universally fits into most appliances and machines. The invention enables the use of standard bottles are liquid reservoirs such that the bottle can be discarded when empty.
Abstract: A mechanical knot apparatus for replacing the use of a conventional knot or fitting for fastening or securing a rope or cable to an object. A spool-like body with a slot or two holes bored crosswise across the middle of the spool perpendicular to its axis is provided. A loop is first formed in the rope by either splicing or by simply creating a loop with the use of a knot. The end of the loop is passed through the slot or holes in the spool and then passed around the object to be secured. The loop is then wrapped back over the flanges of the spool to create a hitch-like configuration. When tension is applied, the rope slips through the device until flanges or body of the spool seats against the object being secured. A secondary tightly fitting flexible ring such as a rubber “O” ring is optionally slipped around the root of the loop and can be slid up against the hitch to act as a “lock” which prevents the loop from bouncing off the flanges of the spool during severe flogging.
