Abstract: An elongate vertically extending housing that defines a hopper in the upper portion, a downwardly inclined chute in the lower part of the housing, and a time operated motor driven rotatable food dispenser disposed between the hopper that periodically by gravity receives food from the hopper and discharges the same into the chute, with the intermittent energization of the motor being by a simple, inexpensive electric circuit. The dispenser is of such structure that granules of food from the hopper cannot lodge between the dispenser and chute structure with which it is operatively associated to cause the dispenser to bind and become inoperative. A food receiving dish is provided that removably interlocks with a lower portion of the housing, with the dish being easily disengaged from the housing for cleansing purposes.
Abstract: Set out herein are two bracket structures attachable to the roof rack of an automobile, where the bracket structures each include forked brackets conformed to receive both the skiis and the poles between the tines thereof. The brackets are adapted for sliding engagement into slotted clamps which are mounted on the roof rack. When engaged in the clamps, each of the brackets may be secured by a lock for secure transport. When removed from the clamps, each of the brackets forms an integral carrying assembly rendering the manipulation of the skiis and the poles convenient. Each of the brackets, furthermore, is conformed as a fork pivoted by one exterior tine and engaging by the other exterior tine to a base plate. This alignment of the forks can only be made upon the removal of the bracket assembly from the clamps, thus assuring a secure attachment which can only be released upon the release of a lock.

Abstract: Disclosed herein is a water heating and dispensing system adapted for use in an automobile, utilizing an exhaust pipe heated coil for the heat transfer. To accommodate the varying levels of exhaust heat the coil is adjustable in its position relative the pipe, thus providing varying amounts of heat transfer. Included further is a pressure regulating valve for releasing any in the system steam and a dispensing assembly for dispensing both cold and hot water. Also included are various electrically operated indicating lights and control inputs for indicating the heat range to which the water is to be brought up. In the normal mode, i.e. during the time when water is not dispensed, the hot water circuit is connected in a recirculation mode, the normal convective currents in the water providing sufficient circulation to exchange heat. The dispensing assembly, furthermore, includes an enclosed cavity in which cups may be placed, thus retaining the cups against inadvertent spillage.
Abstract: Disclosed herein is an improved reloading device of the type described in my prior U.S. Pat. No. 3,769,732 wherein the center shaft of a revolver cylinder is utilized to displace a latching mechanism retaining a ring of cartridges by the rims thereof. This latching mechanism is in the form of a slidable center post which in one position will oppose the inward bending of a plurality of cantilevered fingers each provided with a semicircular projection abutting the rim of the cartridges, and which, upon the invert articulation thereof, will release the cartridges for insertion into the cylinder. Included also are spring-loaded carriers conformed to support the foregoing reloading devices and to eject the devices into the hand of the wearer upon release.
Abstract: A lightweight baseball catcher's chest protector that permits circulation of air to the user's body, one that does not absorb perspiration even after prolonged useage, has a minimum restrictive action on the movement of the user thereof, and minimizes the tendency of a missed baseball that strikes the chest protector to bounce therefrom in an unpredictable direction. The chest protector is adapted for use not only by a catcher but also an umpire. The protective pad of the present invention is of sufficient size to at least cover the chest of a user, and is defined by an organic foamed material that is pliable and laterally deformable when a portion thereof is struck by a baseball. The foam material after being struck by a baseball returns but slowly to its initial configuration and as a result there is no tendency of a missed baseball to strike the protector to bounce therefrom.
Abstract: A device for transforming a toothpick container of the type that includes a cylindrical receptacle in which the toothpicks are marketed and that has external threads on the open end portion that are removably engaged by an internally threaded cap into a dispenser from which a single toothpick is ejected when the receptacle is disposed in a downwardly inclined position.
Abstract: A power plant for generating electrical power comprises opposed piston assemblies each at the end of a rack and pinion mechanism conformed to pass through a linear inductor. Thus on each piston firing stroke the linear translation of the rack is used to produce electrical power. This is achieved by an interdigitated magnetic structure attached to each rack. In this manner a linear inductor is utilized to take benefit of each stroke in the course of generating electricity. Each pair of opposed pistons includes its own throttle control system, thus allowing for convenient balancing of the total power. The throttle control system operates a mixture mechanism which combines combustion air with fuel and water to form a charge which is injected into the firing chamber.
Abstract: A probe assembly for detecting flaws in cylindrical openings comprises a cylindrical probe having a sectional dimension conformed to be received in the interior of the opening inspected, the probe having a polished end aligned on a forty-five degree angle relative the probe axis to reflect the images of the sides of the opening. The probe is supported in a spring biased mount assembly advanced axially by way of a cam and advanced in rotation by a beveled gear arrangement on the interior of the bore.
Abstract: A refuse receiving assembly that removably supports an elongate plastic bag in an expanded position, with the assembly and bag when in a first horizontal position capable of having refuse swept into the bag, and the assembly and bag when in a second position supporting the bag substantially vertical. When the bag is vertically disposed the refuse may be compacted by a tamper that preferably forms a part of the assembly. After the refuse is compacted in the vertically disposed bag, the assembly may be lifted upwardly out of the bag, and the upper end of the bag tied to maintain the refuse therein.
